Thread: Your Secret Weapon

I probably have two...
To have weapons (or whatever) ready in battle (i love to fight in LD's) i use a trenchcoat with deep pockets, it's easy, fast and works like 99% of the time.
My first weapon of choice is a huge black gun, kind of like the one Alucard (my avatar) uses in Hellsing, the manga. Called "The Jackal"

This little sweety always causes massive amounts om damage (torn limbs, craters in stone, etc).

My other weapon i use for fun and melee is a black katana, i really don't have a single name for it, i usually just call it Chidori (jap; thousand birds. also an attack in the manga Naruto which can cut through anything) or simply "Demonen" (Swedish; the demon).


luv these weapons, always get a nice tingly feeling when i say "meet the jackal" or cry out chidori when using the katana, causing it to light up
damn, all this talking about weapons makes me hungry for combat i wanna LD now!

That's an easy one. My body. My arms. My legs. Hands and feet. I wouldn't want all my ninja training* to go to waste.


*ninja training mostly involved watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and many kung fu movies

I don't lucid dream yet, but I would probably use something like mr. incredible in the fantastic four.

Whenever I start to lucid dream, my weapon would be a handgun. When I get enough control, I hope to do some urban wars

I tend to fight with "magic" rather than with props in my dreams. Once in a normal, nonlucid, dream I actually summoned a black hole when I was unhappy with the direction one of my fights was going... I destroyed everything, then woke up. At least that's how I think the dream went. It HAS been awhile.

I guess my Secret Weapon is the infamous Portable Black Hole.

The stats mean in my dream that it kicks ass. I dunno what they mean otherwise.

I actually found out quite by accident once. But simply facing the Hand outward, as though to signal 'Stop' seems to have a great power to Pacify and Calm a Dream Enemy. No, it is not as though I ever thought of it that way... that I would use my hands for magic... but... wait... I'll explain.

I had gone Lucid and so I went off Flying, and when I began to lose altitude, I found myself coming down into this quaint Little Kingdom. It was simply lovely. But then I noticed as I looked about instances of Predation as the White Giants were attacking and terrorizing the Population. When I arrived upon the ground I was met by a delegation of Citizens that insisted, that begged that I should do something about these White Giants that were abusing and exploiting these lovely people in this lovely Little Kingdom.

But what could I realistically do, after all. I was still Lucid, and so I knew it was just a dream. I knew the White Giants could not kill me, but after that, what could I do. There were many of them and just one of myself. I was honestly puzzled, but I didn't see saying 'No' to these People as much of an option.

So in fearful and anxious trepidation I went off to the Head Quarters of these White Giants to ask for a Conference so that perhaps we could either work things out, or if there was to be a Battle, then it could commence there.

Well, the White Giants must have heard of my approach, as they did not wait for me to reach their building, but they swarmed out into the street to meet me, and they were extremely angry. It appeared as though there would be a battle, just as I feared. Still Lucid I only knew that I would not die, but I was not so sure that I might not be just a little bit hurt or even tortured.

As they approached I quite automatically brought my hands up into something of a defensive position, just as I had described above, hands up with palms facing outward.

All at once the White Giants developed spasms and began to shake all over. My fear melted away and transformed into concern for them and I reached out and touched the closest one, their Leader, and my touch instantly downgraded it from a Huge Giant to being more in the ordinary Human Scale, and color came to his Skin. In fact, they all transformed.

It was this Gesture with the Hands, that I had not even plan for, that did it.

Oh, and this next part is to indicate that Expectations rarely have the power to Control a Dream, even a Lucid Dream. When the White Giants were knocked down to size, I instantly supposed that the Populace would rally for revenge and tear these Former White Giants limb from limb... that it would all get quite nasty. But when I turned around and looked at the Citizens behind me, their faces were simply all flushed with a happy radiance. They were delighted that the Whtie Giants were transformed, but they harbored not the least spec of vindictiveness. When I saw that, I was so surprised I was startled by it, but had the presence of mind to shout out "Why don't we all seal the New Peace with a Beer at the Pub!", and this huge Popular Roar went up on all sides and everybody went marching off, Citizen and Former White Giants arm in arm side by side, off to where ever the Pub was. I didn't go. I was still Lucid and woud have been off to the Next Dream Segment...

But there it is. The Hands. I am sure I am not the only one. And one does not have to 'think' or 'imagine' a thing. The Power of Peace is already in them.

More of a Defensive Weapon, but that is as it should be, isn't it. Killing people to make Peace never seemed quite right somehow.

Me myself don't got any weapons to use in LDs, or dreams overall.

Quite the topic. My personal weapon is much like Krippes' katana, with a somewhat shorter, black blade and a red handler, more like a kodachi (a smaller variation of a katana, for those who don't know), which I simply nicknamed the "Shadowblade" for lack of a better term.
Though I don't really use it, it's simply 'there' as if my dream self knows he'll need it sooner or later.

About such a topic however, I'd have with to agree with Leo on this one. My hands, so far, proved to be the most effective 'weapon' against something that threatens my dream self, whereas a weapon would only make things... somewhat more reddish, and still solve nothing, thus giving a darker atmosphere to the dream itself.
But well, there are people who like these kind of dreams. To those, feel free to visit me someday and borrow my dark companion.

Thanks for the post, it was a great read! Like I mentioned my opening remarks I basically just use my hands. Well, more my mind really, to just tear things apart, move objects, reconstruct things to my whim, etc.

Now note that my mehods are rather destructive compared to your stratagem of using defensive magic, peace magic. If you've seen X3 (If not, it's quite good), then just look at Phoenix and you'll get the idea of what I do in trouble. Not as if I just go around terrorizing DC's, no... This power is reserved for the trickier of situations.

the one time i used a weapon i used this little fireball... and some kind of giant extendable wristblade (like a double edged sword extending from a wrist-band (like predator's wristblade... but i have only one, and the blades are "horizontal")

i'd like to try leo's "weapon" though... long post btw..

but nevertheless: it was interresting...

Well put Gawain, any DC would run and spoon their eyes out if they saw that.

As soon as I start fighting in LDs, I'll make a rifle that is big enough to fire the giant minie-ball in the Gettysburg Battlefield. I so want to fire that thing at something. That would be an interesting sight.

Like Leo, the few times I have had to defend myself while lucid dreaming I've used my hands. In particular, a stranger appeared in the back of the car with my sister and I. He was creepy with red eyes. I acknowledged his presence, and he in turn seemed to be surprised by this, I turned said a few words, something like"be gone..." (very corny I know) like in the movies, and showed him my hand and he diminished. It was a very empowering dream.

mistikal, nice to see that the media has a hold of your dreams. Next you'll be reinacting Terminator 2 scene by scene, playing all the characters at once. Don't worry, I'll be back 8)

Has anyone tried sticking your fingers into a DC and turning them into....yourself! Like that agent does in The Matrix films. I haven't, but it sounds cool.
