Thread: one soul

So i keep seeing post asking if everyone that we meet is made up by our own mind....and i think i have an answer to that.

If everyone that i meet was made up by my mind, That would mean that everyone in the world was all one mind.

Does that sound correct to anyone? Like we are all one counsiousness

in my point of view, and not to bring religion into this aspect..but u say that we are all one concious mind, all somewhat the same...that is true..because God created us through him...thats my opinion

no need to start a religious battle after this

reality, thats why im saying that if that were true in any manor it would mean that we were all one collective councioiusness

I don't really see why that would be either true or false. We don't know and it doesn't really matter. Since the world is consistent and coherent, I do believe that it exists objectively. I think Solipsism is kind of boring and that's it.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, spiritofthewolf, but this sounds more like pantheism to me than solipsism.

Solipsism's an interesting thing to think about; it bears a strong resemblance to the ever-popular "What if all of existence is just this dream I'm having?" I have trouble fitting love into the equation, though. I mean, presuming a solipsistic world view, any time I express love towards another human being, isn't it really just a form of narcissism? In fact, if all the world is a construct of my own mind, what is the point of morality? I've always conceived morals as a necessity of living with other human beings...
