      Blankets

It's starting to get warmer, so i kicked one of my 3 blankets on the floor. The next morning i had 2 lucid dreams.... my first in about 2 months. It was a Saturday though so i got to sleep in... maybe that helped too.

How is anyone able to reply to that? You need to be less general. Is this a lucidity aid? What are you trying to say?

      It might help...

There are several factors that result in making yourself lucid. That might be one of them, but I don't think that having only two blankets will help you be lucid in the long run....
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

I didn't mean to be an asshole (and I think the proper, British way of spelling it is arsehole), I just wanted to squeeze a little more information out of you

Well... i'm pretty sure that having 2 blankets on didn't give me a lucid dream... but (for those of you who'd like more info) i've been using 3 blankets for about 3 months, and maybe the change somehow triggered something in my dream to make my realize something was wrong

I believe that Heat induces Lucidity to a certain degree. Just by past research I've done on myself I was more likely to go Lucid without the use of MILDS by making the room hotter. Usually covering myself with serval comforters.

Yea your physical sleeping enviornment definitely affects your dreaming. I don't know about specific temperatures that let you get LD more often though. I personally think the temperature issue is very subjective.

I'm using 2-3 blankets and sleep in a very cold room. I havent noticed any significant differences in getting a LD.... However I absolutely cant fall asleep if room temperature is above certain point..

Well I have been sleeping with a heating blanket for a few months now and it broke last week!

Anyway... I find sleep environment does affect dreaming to a certain extent. Has anyone noticed when your sick and have a fever you have more vivid dreams? I think since your body temp is higher it affects your brain along with everything else... trying to fight off the infection. So self induced fever would do the same I’m thinking! Of course I'm no doctor... I just know i have had some crazy ass dreams while I'm sick.

How do you live??? Do you have AC?

I don't know about the blankets thing. I'll try it out more.

Its not really that bad, even without AC you could open a window at night and its a lot cooler. Unless you turn on the heat just to make your room hot, in which case your crazy.

Your temperature definately affects your dreams. A while ago one of my friends tried sleeping with a heat bag on his feet, and his dreams got a long more vivid, and he remembered more of them. I also remember hearing somewhere on here that heat can also induce nightmares, so whenever I start to overheat I just kick off a few blankets. Huh, btw I started sleeping with fewer blankets a while ago, and I just had another LD, but I'm not sure if there's a connection or not.

Yep, this temperature thing is really subjective. Some people LD better when they are warmer and others, when cooler. I guess we have to try it out ourselves.

You do know she was being sarcastic, right?

I pity you if you didn't...

P.S. Paperdoll, this break you took has made you too bitter. Here, this is meant to counteract your bitterness:

      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

P.S. I realize how much the previous picture sucked...

To make it up to you, and teach you love, I give you this present:

      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
