Hello and welcome Adjnor

There have been several instances where dreaming & experiments have come together.
A big example of this is Stephen Laberge. He is the author of, "Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming." By studies in a lab he conducted some experiments that put an end to rumors of lucid dreaming.
In a preemptive plan he told the assistants that he was working with that he will, upon becoming lucid move his eyes back and forth in succession. (The eyes move during REM sleep - While Lucid dreaming, they move where you are looking) When The EEG & EMRI machines recorded his actions the machines also pointed out that he was in fact in a REM period of sleep.
For the subconscious. I myself have been able to do some experimentation depending on my level of lucidity. Often creating then manifesting a stable dream environment to interact and re interact with whom ever you want.
Bringing out creativity. As an artist I often will flat out ask dream characters about some creative hurdles I may have. In addition to life's hurdles too.
Dream recall has improved my memory as a whole. I have never asked the subconscious directly. It does however seem to be a direct result of recording your dreams. Your idea could work very well.

There is a huge library of information just waiting to be extracted and used in our waking life. We just need to bring it out!
