Looking for some advice, and possibly a guide.

Hey guys, I know I can't be the only one that has resolved to learn to lucid dream consistently this summer since I won't have any classes to interfere with. I know I made the same commitment last year, and probably the year before that, but unlike those times I'm not the same person I use to be.

So, I'll start off trying to find the most straight forward and step by step way to learn to lucid dream consistently. I feel like my dream recall is great, its been months since I tried to lucid dream and I can still remember a paragraphs worth or more of what I dreamed about every night, but I can't seem to convert that recall into actual lucidity.

What would the more experienced individuals on dream view recommend? Any specific guides or tutorials? As you can see, I've been a member here for years, and I'm tired of trying and failing and I'm ready to actually succeed.

      "I feel my heart glow
with enthusiasm which elevates me to heaven; for nothing contributes so much to tranquillise the mind as a steady purpose--a point
on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye."

There is no definite rule for dreaming, thats the sad part. That being said, general awareness is one of the most effective ways for getting DILD, and for WILD would be the visual-DEILD.

Take time to write down what procedures and techniques you feel would help you accomplish the goal. Starting out, your chances of lucidity are highest when taking a nap. You must have adequate rest before you attempt to lucid dream. Trying to become lucid while weary or tired has a very slim chance of being successful. Each day write down what you felt worked and didn't work, and continue to refine until you have something that works on a more frequent basis than everything else.
