Okay, this morning I had what I think was a LD. All night I didn't dream, woke up around 5:00AM, went back to sleep, woke up around 7:00, dozed of again, woke up, then when I think I dozed off again, I think I had one.

I dunno, I think I was imagining it. I tend to imagine things for my own entertainment when I wake up.

      This is what I 'dreamed'...

Then the 'dream', I was at home, and I there was my family like normal, and we were in the kitchen/dining room watching a baseball game on the TV set up in there. Two guys came in and watched the game, but it was apparently normal, but I was thinking it wasn't, however I didn't bother, they went to the bathroom and washed their hands, I went in and they were gone. Suddenly the 'dream' changed and I was waking up in the morning I went to the bathroom and when I opened the door. I saw my mom sitting on one of the dining table's chairs, watching TV. I suddenly realized, "Wait, she's supposed to be sleeping now." "I think I'm DREAMing!" I quickly calmed down and I started to attempt to fly. I felt a connection to the real world, on one side I was in my bed chest down, and I felt vibrations, I think it was the sleep paralyis. Anyways, I felt the vibrations on both sides, in the 'dream' I was floating up, and I zipped out of the bathroom somewhat excited. As I left, I started to truly feel the real world and I found myself awake, on my hands and knees.

The thing is, during this experience, I felt in the real world, that the door was open. So I felt somewhat embarassed when I woke up on my hands and knees. But it wasn't open. The reason I think it could be my imagination is that the 'dream' was all black, but at the same time I could see images. It truly did feel like my imagination, but if so. Why did I somewhat awake on my hands and knees???

So I'm mystified on whether it was a dream or not.

I can't believe I forgot these details! After I realized I was 'dreaming'. I tried to increase the lucidity, since it was semi pitch dark. I shouted "Increase Lucidity!", and nothing changed. I was disappointed, so I tried flying, and it continues as posted above.

Sounds like your first lucid dream, man. Way to go.

If you know you're dreaming (it doesn't matter if you have control, or try to fly, or anything of that nature) you're having a lucid dream. So, contrats! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the reply homie. I still have some doubt, but ya know what, f*ck it. I had a LD and I'm damn proud of it!

One thing that impressed me in the dream. I was able to hover and begin to fly, on my first try. Even though I woke up as I moved. I've always read that it's difficult to fly, but I did it anyway, without even giving 2nd thought. I felt somewhat of a glow in my body combined with a SP like feeling.

This is my first dream since I discovered LDing that I was inside my house, I do many of my RCs at home. I think it was just expected that I might become lucid at home.

      *clenches fist in excitement* Yes!!!

      Anytime.

Just doing it anyway, without giving it any thought. Hold onto that. That's the key to doing anything in your dreams. You've got nothing to doubt, so far, because I think you're definitely on the right track. You're analyzing your experience and finding out what things work for you, and familiarizing yourself with the dream state, ya know? This can only lead to more progress. Doubt can be your worst enemy when it comes to dream control. It doesn't matter how good you get, times will come when your subconscious reminds you of that.
Just don't let it discourage you from relaxing and realizing that sometimes you just gotta let go and have a little faith in what you're doing. Heh.

      Keep it up, man.

Oh, wait, I've experienced something like this. I was in a lucid dream, and was just busy feeling cool before I started to feel my body. I was pretty messed up, I kept wondering if I was asleep and feeling my body, or awake and just imagining this all this in my head. I was so disorientated when my dream faded and I woke up...

The thing is, when I took time to think about it later, I approached my lucid state FROM a dream, so I couldn't really be imagining it. Sounds like a lucid to me,

      I am from South Africa
