I downloaded second life (cool game, though I wouldn't pay for premium), and I would say that dreaming is like second life on steroids. I mean, you can do anything on second life, but you have to work/pay to get it, and there's the problem of lag and face counts (blah, blah, blah). In dreaming, if you have good control, you don't have to pay a penny or work on creating stuff + scripts, you just want it and it happens, no loading, no lag, no limited resolutions, and the whole world is yours to freely use.
