In the only LD I've had so far, I found myself in a big empty room. I walked through two more big empty halls before finding people, and it was that same almost twilight-zone feeling of aloneness in a world that should be inhabited. It wasn't creepy, though, more amusing than anything else. I knew there were other people around, I just needed to go find them.

I wonder how common this experience is for first LD's? It's kind of fun to think of a "birthing" room for first-time LD'ers, where everyone comes into that world alone, and has to go find everyone else. Maybe it's our subconscious easing us gently into the LD experience.
