hey guys, first of all. about a week ago, i had my first LD. no biggie tho, little control and use of my hands were gone. didnt RC, i just knew i was dreaming. but anyway, i had a busy night of dreaming a couple days ago. it was bout 4:00 AM and i was going into a dream knowing that i must be going into the dream. so when i was plugged into it, i had my head lying on my hands. i finally got into my dream, knowing i was dreaming (just in my bed trying to get up, no biggie) but i still felt my hands in real life but i was trying to move the rest of my body in the dreamworld. i only woke up cuz i knew i had to move my hands. i was kinda mad at myself but my Q is why dont my hands work when i jack into the LD? like, both times, i felt them in my real life, and knew bout them in the dreamworld making them incompatible in the dream. this happen to anyone? was i just half awake and in my REM at the same time? this possible?
An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.

Yeah this is a way to become lucid if you just let it progress a little further.

Yeah, it sounds like you hadn't gone far enough into the WILD. It's possible to be getting hypnogogia without fully passing into sleep paralysis but, once you're in a full-blown dream (once you're able to reach and maintain lucidity) you're more than likely well into sleep paralysis, and wouldn't be able to feel your waking life hands, anyway...

....usually. There are exceptions to everything.

Don't be so quick to move. Let your dreams develop and solidify. If you're still conscious enough to know you're getting into a dream, just watch for a bit. Wait until you're completely immersed before you try to influence it.
