I woke up in the middle of the night after having a really vivid non-lucid dream. When I was lying there on my bed I realized I was very relaxed and already half-asleep. I decided to give WILD a try. At first, I felt like you normally would right before you go to sleep....body's relaxed and have that warm sleepy feeling. Then it felt like I fell backwards into water. Not actual water but more like thick blackness. I fell like I was inside my bed. Then I heard fuzz like you'd hear on a snowy tv channel. After that I heard a weird sound, like a radio trying to tune in on a station but couldn't. I noticed I saw faint patterns...a triangle of light and some circles floating along.
This next part is what made me pussy out and wake myself up. After hearing the fuzz and tuning radio, I heard a LOUD voice in my ears. The voice sounded like it was amplified 5x and was speaking right into my ear. The words must have been in a different language because I couldn't understand them. I know that they were words though, I could just tell. I tried to endure the freakyness of it but after about 2 seconds I couldn't take it and tried to get up. My arms were on my chest and when I tried to move them they wouldn't respond. This scared me and I struggled hard to move them for a few seconds before I realized I was experiencing sleep paralysis. So I just chilled out and every once and while I tried to move my finger and eventually I did.

After all this, I just lyed there on my bed thinking about what just happened. I knew it was almost a WILD but it scared me so bad. I'm not even sure if I want to try again.

      But still, it was cool.

      Hullo there,

I haven't been on here in quite some time, but I do know a thing or two about WILDs.

First off, yes, those sound like the beginning stages of a WILD, however you still have a long way to go before you're actually in the dream... If you can keep yourself from freaking out and trying to wake yourself up, you still have to deal with entering the actual dream without losing it. Probably the most difficult part of the whole process. Now, I'm not downing your accomplishment, just saying that if you're going to pursue this realize you have a long way to go...

But, let me assure you that there's no danger in WILDing, and you shouldn't be timid to try it again if you want to. Remember that, the reason you are not trying to WILD is because you choose not to. And not because you're afraid to.

Not saying you're afraid either, Just saying you should do these sorts of things for the right reasons.

      Cheers!

haha yeah exactly what I first experienced when making my first progress with WILDing. I saw a bright white light and as I moved into the light I felt as if I was suddenly falling downwards with 80 Km/Hour. It freaked me out and I had it again 2 following nights. The SP felt very freaky. As if I was so far removed from my own body.

It was scary but very cool. And I know what lies at the end of that experience. So I'm certainly gunna keep trying. Don't be affraid. This is what you want right? To become aware of the Psychedelic phenomenon of the Transitionphase between sleeping and waking. To enter a Dream Conciously. It's a wild ride but one you take everynight, only you don't experience it consciously and forgot it evertime. Now that you do, don't be chickened out, no be stunned and amazed. Look what you have missed all those years. It's scary at first, but you'll get used to ''the Strange things that happene to you while passng from waking to sleeping''

It freakerd me out for a mere minute but now I'm trying to consciously experience this strange phenomenon night after night. It's magic.

Excellent attempt, nameless! I got really close on my first ever WILD attempt too. I could remember feeling as though I was on a swing, swinging side to side. It was so cool.

Nameless that's very interesting I know how it could come across a little scary yet exciting. It's like all of these emotions revolving around all at once. Do you remember if you felt any Sleep Paralysis? Usually when I Wild I know it's good because SP captures me before I hear sounds or that floating sensation. But nothing to be afraid of when the sounds become amplified it's just your dream ear listening to your dream world that's already in play, you just haven't completely arrived yet.

Your lucky everytime I try to WILD I always hear a loud bang. Now a guy like my I hate hearing surprisingly loud bangs or shots. I remember when I had a big problem about 3 years back where I couldn't become aware in the physical world I was basically a walking zombie because I would cut in and out of concisousness. So one day in class teacher is talking and I'm starting to become more and more unaware of what is going on then I heard a gunshot as if it was right next to my ear my head kicked back as if I had a seriouas nightmare I then realize I'm in school and I was just zoning out.

Luckily I don't get that no more I actually learnt why that used to happen when reading a AP book but I totally forgot about that part.
