Through my research, I have found that you can induce lucid dreams by reading about them and knowing how amazing they are. Reading other people dream journals may benefit you too.

That gave me this idea, mentioned here: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/index.php?...=37776&st=0

The idea is to write about lds (the dream itself), so others can read it of course. It may be different to dream jounals only it's in second person, and involves the reader a bit more. It also has very descriptive language.

Anyway, I wrote a short one. Except mine has a strange ending, to give you a feeling/philosphy of some kind. If you have any comments or anything you'd like to write up (like this), than please post here!

      Lucidity

You are trying to get to sleep, and you are very relaxed, sinking into your bed. You are experiencing flickering and very detailed imagery, and many ideas and sounds are rushing through your head constantly, yet they are unnoticed. You experience a twitch in your left leg, and a vibration runs down your spine. Now all these feelings become more noticeable and you are aware that you are very close to sleep.

After a few more minutes, there is a sudden realization that you are now dreaming. It is a fantastic feeling, of excitement and shock, and you try to get used to your surrounding environment. Yet you don’t even dare to move another step, but rather, you look around at everything, at the dream you know your mind has crafted somehow. You are in a peaceful area outside, and the morning sky is pale blue. There are small hills, but most apparent, there are many large autumn trees. In such amazement, you stare at these trees. You look around, near every branch and every leaf. The detail is startling, there is such realistic scenery and perfection. There is a soft cool breeze blowing through your hair and against your face, it makes you blink. You turn your head with ease, noticing some leaves floating softly from the trees, only to land gently on the grass. While the bird noises and trees make relaxing ambient sounds, you look down at your feet. You are wearing dirty shoes, and they are almost hidden by many blades of green grass, which looks like it has water droplets from the early morning dew. It feels astounding, and you become much more excited to take a step forward. Without warning, the dream suddenly fades into blackness.

You awaken from your pleasant dream. Even though you are disappointed that it stopped, you are content with the new experience you had, and look forward to more of them.

It has now been three months since your first lucid dream experience, and now you are much more aware of your magical abilities and desires within your dreams. You are having lucid dreams much more often.

It is, with great comfort, another lucid dream, and you are running very fast, faster than any car or plane. You can see ten miles ahead of you, and the wind blowing rapidly against you does not slow you down. Unexpectedly, your alarm clock begins ringing, and you are awoken.

You press the alarm button down with annoyance, and it stops before you fall back to lie down again. With uneasiness, you can’t fall back to sleep. Up you get, and breakfast you make. At the dining room table before eating, you attempt a reality check. You look at your hands, and realize that you have an extra finger! You laugh, and cry out again in intense excitement! “I’m dreaming!” you exclaim. You then make a radical decision to walk outside onto the road, leaving your breakfast behind. You open your front door and walk toward the road, and stand in the middle of it. You look up at the sky, staring at its immeasurable environment. It looks closer than normal, and you feel you can reach out and touch it. However you become distracted, as a car toots its horn at you from behind. You turn around, and grasp the bonnet tightly and pick the car up. It is now leaning upward from its back wheels, in your hands, and you see the driver shouting in amusingly unheard screams. You throw the car, and it seems to continue to flip over and over, soaring far into the distance. Understanding your ridiculous actions, you move away from the road and decide to fly yourself. You put your hands above your head, and levitate. You lift slowly off the ground and for a few meters, and then you accelerate. You begin to travel at the speed of light, across all the land. All your vision is blurred, and for most of the time you are overwhelmed by how fast it is. The world never felt so infinitely large. After you have flown for about ten seconds, you stop immediately and land in front of your house, softly on your feet. Surprisingly to yourself, you haven’t woken up yet, and you continue your dream day doing the impossible.

For some reason, this dream is very consistent, your area and perception of time are normal. You arrive home again, and walk through your front door. The phone rings, and you answer it. “So, what’s your excuse?! Where were you today!?” Your boss asks. You obviously missed work. “I have every excuse David! What do you want that is so important anyway? Did you need me or something?” You laugh. “What are you talking about? It sounds like you want to lose your-’’ You hang up the phone. ‘There’s something strange about this dream’, you say to yourself. The phone rings. Being ignorant, you just stand there and listen to it. You’re also looking at a clock. You think it’s rather funny what your doing, smiling and paying no attention to the phone. But, suddenly it hits you. You see that the clock is ticking as usual and realize that the day has felt normally long. Then, it’s a surprise to then recognize that nothing strange or unusual has happened in your dream, apart from your choices. You check your reality again, and you have five fingers on each hand. Walking around checking for reality, the phone still ringing, you see you breakfast is still on the table. It stuns you strongly, that you were not dreaming at all during this time.

You can’t get to sleep later that night, and you can’t wake up from this either. Apart from trying to get sleep, it is a deep satisfaction, and the way you see it, this is real, and you have tapped into your mind. Now you can use it to its full potential. It is too good to be true, yet it is.

That's really cool. That is a great idea, actually. I've always been an advocator of planning exactly how your dreams are going to go, writing an outline. Being the writer that I am, I feel that anything that makes you remember something should be used in conjuction with dreaming. I've never actually taken it to that level though. I think I will try it very soon!

I like your writing, I'm sure it will help a lot of people.

It can't help me though, because I have dulled emotions in my dreams. Like how you posted "I'm Dreaming!" with intense excitment, I am more like "I'm dreaming... hmm...." It's a mixed blessing, it means I don't get to experience great emotions until I go over the lucid dream in waking life but it also means I never will have the problem of waking up upon getting lucid like so many newbies...

Another user also suggested that you write these dreams in your dream journal, to make it seem like you had these dreams. It's a good idea, but it will cause clutter lol.

Good stuff. The only reason why it's not in a dream journal is because it's not real. I just made all that up on the spot...

Oh, and I got a question, and it may be up for discussion: Were you dreaming, or not? (In my first post)

Yeah it is indeed pretty cool. It's like autosugesting, only not by yourself but by some text.
