ive been doing something similar and it works well sometimes

i do your method unintentionally thoughh
for example:

i stay up late doing homework
i wake up at 6 to get ready for school (which is the task that requires brain work)
then i lay down a bit before i walk to school
but i end up not going because of lack of motivation and also because i hate school and decide to just lay there for a bit longer

then crazy crap happends




EDIT:
oh yeahh i forgot my main point

i think the rest of you are trying to hard
if you tell yourself "ohh tomorow morning im gonna wake up extra early and do this" then your body will actually be fully wake

it happends to me when i unintentionally do it
