Hello all, I'm currently in the planning stages of a documentary about the science of sleeping, and I'm looking for a person that is able to take advantage of the lucid dream phenomena. I'm situated in the Bournemouth area, so it would be best if you were from the south of England. However, other locations can be looked into. The filming dates are scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of October, and my crew and I are more than happy to cover travel expenses.
This is a subject i feel passionately about, and one that I wish to portray and share with a wider audience, if you feel the same, then please get in contact, if only just for a chat.

      Thanks for your time

Hey... I'm nowhere near England and wouldn't make a good filming subject, but if you want some first-hand experiences I'd highly recommend spending some time in the Dream Journals here. Mine is linked below, but there are way better ones and folk who have very consistant lucids.

Good luck with your production. If the world REALLY understood lucid dreaming, I believe it would become an absolute craze. Perhaps you'll be the one to start it!

      Hey farmer, welcome to DV!

Heh, I just saw a movie recently called "the Science of Sleep" (I'm sure you've probably heard of it). We got a ton of members over in the UK so I doubt it would take you too long to find the person you're looking for. (I know of one in Essex?).

I'm a bit out of the way as well, but I'd love to be involved with a project such as yours in any way I can. I've done some indie film posters and promotional material as well as any other animation, storyboard, or whatnot that's associated with film. (There's a link to some of my work in my profile).

I'm surprised there hasn't been more response to this. I for one am all for the increase of awareness of lucid dreaming, and what better way to show it than with a documentary.
I would be happy to participate, but I live in the NorthEast of Scotland and I'm definitely not the best lucid dreamer you can get. I do have lucid dreams, and I do control them, but only by fluke. I'm sure there are lots of very good lucid dreamers here at Dreamviews who are situated in the UK, but they're not speaking up!

Out of interest, when and where is it being aired?

Ouch! South of England. I would love to help though and have some video equipment of my own. I would entertain having you send me a list of questions and I will tape my responses and send them back to you. You prefer NTSC or PAL format? PAL I am assuming.

Also, do you prefer DV1 or DV2 format, again, I'm making the assumption you do not want fo deal with Mpeg.

I'm all for making lucid dreaming a well-known topic but to tell you the truth I think if we do that lucid dreaming would be less exciting for people in the future. What I mean is if in the future everyone knows about lucid dreaming and everyone knows they can do it it won't feel as great. Lucid dreaming is like a super power, I guess. Most people (almost everyone) don't have this ability because they don't know about it yet. Here's an example; I can see. Most people can see. Most people that can see take it for granted and don't really think too much about it. But what if you were blind since birth? Wouldn't you want the ability to see? Wouldn't you want it more than anything? To be able to experience colors, shapes, and movement through our eyes. Then imagine if you one day woke up and you could see. You would be extremely happy and you would go out and see things. You could finally look at another human being. The blind person that gains sight represents us now and the people that can already see represents everyone else after lucid dreaming becomes a well-known topic. If it is known by everyone they will probably take it for granted and it will seem like an every day thing.

I'm not trying to be greedy, I'm just stating some things that were on my mind. But I think publicising it would be good. It would teach this almost unknown ability to a lot of people. And I'm not sure humans are going to be around much longer so we should inform the public while we can. Feel free to argue about anything I said.
