      Adopting

Why should we adopt or get adopted?
      What good does it do?
I dont want to sound out of line but...

Anyway I guess the best explainer gets to adopt a newb (i.e. me)

Or if noone can explain it good, someone who LDs frequently and can help me go back to my past LDing state

Aren't you special. Starting a contest with the winner's prize being you? Lol.

Well I guess the adoption process just goes further to bring the community closer and makes sure everyone is getting the attention they deserve and no one is unwillingly left out.

As far as I know, the job of an adopter is to guide the adoptee through the stages of learning to become a lucid dreamer. And the adoptee is considered 'grown up' when he or she has learned how to have LDs. However you can ask each other other questions as well, and the relationships go forth to promote friendship among DreamView members.

I like this entire idea of Adoption, I can see the just of it. For instance when you have a serious question in regards to Lucid Dreaming or anything your mentor is your advisor. It's great especially if he/she is experienced enough.

Being adopted basically helps you learn what you need to know from the start as well as having someone to pal around with (I think)

Think of it as a school room of 700 students. Not evryone can get individulized attention. In addition to that if you create a bond of trust so-to speak, the newbie may be willing to open up more on a secular basis as opposed to the whole forum.

you know, maybe i should have phrased that differently...

"i am the member who left Seeker's cosy home raised...."

      no wait, that's even worse..........

maybe there should be a sticky page for the adopted and adoptee, to comment on what they learned from the bond
