Hey guys...just a quick story I heard in one of my college classes the other day. My professor was talking about some conference she had gone to where there was a presentation and she told us about this really top-notch professor that was there who had an interesting ability to fall asleep when he had trouble understanding something and then he'd wake up and it'd be clear to him. So he's listening to the lecture and, bam, he goes out cold, then he wakes up later and asks the most brilliant questions and understands it perfectly. Do you think this is some kind of lucid dreaming?

I think we all do this to some degree. Leave some problem unsolved, come back the next day and figure it out pretty quickly. It's usually good to give yourself a little perspective on a problem. Time and distance do that, and we come back understanding it better, and seeing things we didn't see before.
The new evolutionary paradigm will give us the human traits of truth, of loyalty, of justice, of freedom. These will be the manifestations of the new evolution. And that is what we would hope to see from this. That would be nice.

I have no clue what deep thinking is, but anyway I understand that our subconscious forms thoughts and does things autonomously, so if we focus on a problem for a while and then forget about it, our subconscious mulls over it and comes up with answers that we become aware of later on. I think. That's the theory.

Sortof like Japhyr said, if you have a problem and come back to it later we normally have an answer for it, or if we can't remember the name of a movie or a guy or something, and then stop thinking about it and then all of a sudden BAM that's his name! Ha ha! Erm, ok.

Artificial intelligence, mutating algorithms and stuff, could that sort of be like our subconscious, except our subconscious has a willing user always there to give input (apart from the most basic things like breathing)? Hmmmm, I think I've made the 1st step towards artificial intelligence progress. Or not really.

I don't know why that came up. Anyway, yeah it's possible that the guy mulls over it in a lucid dream, maybe he asks his dream guide for answers? Or looks for the answers within him?

maybe this guy does exactly that.. only in his dreaming - were time is non-existent.

he's basically cutting corners.......
