It took me 2 weeks after joining this site to get a lucid and I used the MILD technique. Don't worry about it taking a month, just be patient and I'm sure you'll get there. |

What method does everyone use and how long did it take to achieve your first experience with that method? |

no, I don't do the WBTB thing, I will tonight, I read into it and thought it was worth doing. I'll see how it goes. |

Have you been doing reality checks? My most reliable method has been practicing rc's throughout the day, and I've had fairly consistent growth in lucidity. Very simple, and the method does not mess with your sleep schedule at all. I've found recently that having a simple goal, like trying to fly, helps me stay lucid - kind of like it gives me a reason to stay lucid. One advantage you have by not having an LD yet: you still get the thrill of experiencing the first one!!! You'll wake up with your eyes wide open, amazed at what just happened. It'll happen, and we'll be happy for you when it does! |

The new evolutionary paradigm will give us the human traits of truth, of loyalty, of justice, of freedom. These will be the manifestations of the new evolution. And that is what we would hope to see from this. That would be nice.
Er...not sure. I was discouraged after not being able to LD for a long while, and all of a sudden I just had one..it was quite surprising indeed! |
Good question...if you don't have dreams very often, it's much harder to get LDs. Might want to try improving your recall, if that's the case. |
I have ld's with minimal control about once a week. I've been having them for a long time, though. I think it's because I used to have a recurring dream about sharks, and my mom told me just to say I was dreaming. So now I do that in alot of my dreams. I dunno everyone is different. Don't worry you'll get one! |

Lucid Tasks: 14
I have had lucid dreams coming naturally before I joined this site. But I successfully had a WILD (Waking Intention Lucid Dream) the first time I tried. You basicly try to keep your mind awake while falling asleep, resulting in you being fully "awake" through most of the dream. It is a very cool experience to go through the dream stages, and I would definately recommend you to try this method. |
For some reason I find myself able to lucid dream more in naps than my actual sleep. I just woke up from a nap about an hour ago and I had a lucid!! I was asleep for an hour and a half. |
I had lucids since I can remember before I was like 10 then when I turned 14 I got into them again it only took a few nights I think, I don't have a method I rely on recall and a lucid desire, and I've had 100's of lucids since joining, I seem to have them with in about a half a week everytime I start recalling my dreams, and everyother night or so with in a week or 2 of practice, who knows how good I could get in a month of practice. |

It took me a month to achieve my first LD, which lasted only a few seconds. AFter that, i've been able to maintain my lucid state longer. |
well tbh, i tried for like 3-5 days to even recall my dreams |
I wouldn't call it a LD if it only lasted a split second. But this is definitly good news, your mind is testing the limit between dreaming and waking life. Hopefully, you'll be able to control your lucid state for longer periods. I suggest you do a forum search and read some tutorials about maintaining your lucid state (such as Spinning, etc.) |
I had my first, and even now one of the best, LD about a week after happening upon ld4all's tutorials. |
It took me 3 weeks! |

A new beginning?
