This may come across as a stupid, seemingly obvious question.
      It probably is.

      But I was just wondering..
what do you think of practicing things in dreams?
I'm thinking specifically, sports related stuff
[I have my reasons =)] but not necessarily just that
I know you couldn't.. say, exercise frequently in your dream
      and expect waking results,
But do you thinkyou could improve hand-eye co-ordination
or anything like that? Something that does have
      some mental .. er.. input..?
[for example, my gym teacher said to dribble better
I needed to learn the "feel of the ball" O.o]

And please don't say something like, "why waste an LD on that?"
this is just a general question...

      I know it's kinda .. probably a big,
      simple, "no"
but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask you lovely people
      heheh.

      :thankyou:

Yes. You can use the time in a lucid dream to improve upon skills.

      Now here is Nowhere

I woke up this morning and got into bed. Went up to the roof and swam down the chimney to the mall. They had a special on meat so I poured some into a glass and watered the milkman. Then I drew myself home and found the fish had ate the cat the cat had ate the dog and the dog had been eaten by the mailman. Then I got out of bed and went back to sleep.

I don't think it's a waste of an LD at all. Fundamentally, some studies have shown that "sleeping on it" is a great way to work out waking world problems, alone. As far as LDing goes, I think practicing waking world skills is a great thing. The most important mental conditioning (if you ask me) for a waking world skill is experience. Sure the physics may be a little different, but it's the mental preparation and familiarity ("the feel of the ball") that you can practice, while dreaming. And that can't hurt.

      Thanks a lot,
      both of you

I was actually expecting some negative responses,
because it seemed a little unrealistic

      Thanks =)
