Anyway, I think that intent/desire alone is enough to lucid dream, and that techniques are just more ways to achieve lucid dreaming.

We all know about lucid dreaming being awareness in our dreams, and having intentions to lucid dream, but what if someone has no more desire to lucid dream?

Rephrasing the question, can a person with no intent/desire lucid dream?

There are several techniques and approaches to achieving lucidity, some more complicated than others. But there are simple techniques and reality checks. Nova dreamers, B6, and other external lucid dream inducers are also mentioned to increase chances of being aware in dreams. Mindsets centering around lucid dreaming, example "I will lucid dream", are also possible ways of achieving lucidity. Dream recall is also recommended, as well as the amount of slelep needed to dream vividly (in REM), ect.

But what if someone with no intent/desire to lucid dream, does a lucid dreaming technique correctly, does that person have a lucid dream then? Or does nothing happen since they do not have desire to lucid dream?

I am wondering this because if all we need to do is get a technique correct, then we can lucid dream. Even without intention to do so.

But if intent is required, then non-believers and skeptics will not be able to lucid dream, and people who believe in it can.

Thoughts or opinions anyone?
