i was wondering (i have just started with this lucid dreaming stuff). when you have a dream that you can control, and can do what you want, can you do things? like improve yourself. for me, i'd want to get better at guitar. i f i practiced in my dream, would i be better for reals? same with singing. just a thought... i don't know how realistic that is though. thanks.

I doubt it. You can practice in your dreams but I think that the only phase when you learn the guitar is when you are awake. On the other hand, if you have already mastered the guitar you could compose new song in your dream but only if you already can play it.

yeh i agree with CloudOne. Also singing is relying on your voice box being right, nothing else. Well, obviously a good sense of tone and pitch and all that but I mean that, without the right voice box you can't sing.

Well, I dunno guys - I've read about people practicing techniques during LDs and seeing results. Come to think of it, I think I've actually studied for a test in an LD before, going over tons of memorized material again and again. But it probably depends on the person and what they're trying to accomplish.
