    Thread: Wild Technique

      Hey all you dreamers,


      I used to browse this site but then stopped. I'm now trying to get back into it. Reading up on the techniques once again, the WILD has intrigued me the most. It appears that it is the most difficult to achieve, but the most effective once you can get it down. My question is what activities are ok to do when you wake up for the 30-60 minutes. I don't want to get too up and at the same time I want to follow the technique. Also, how long does it take to start feeling everything. For instance, once you close your eyes and start concentrating on having a lucid dream, how long does it take for the whole paralysis to occur, followed by the time it takes to start seeing the hyptnotic imagery, followed by etc...
      Just wondering what the time frame is. Thanks.

      Never done a WILD, but I think reading, meditation, music (peaceful), would be good. It wouldn't hurt to have all those LD related aswell.

      Well those that have done the wild successfully, I just dont understand the time frame at all. Are you saying that you get 5-6 hours of sleep followed by 30-60 minutes of awake (doing what?) followed by another amount of time lding? Thats already ~7 hours just preparing for wild...that doesn't leave much time to actually ld.

      I usually nap to have a WILD.

      When I wake up in the morning I usually jot down fragments of any dreams I remember. I then go about my business and then log on here at Dream Views to make entries in my dream journal. If I can get all this done within an hour and have nothing else to do that morning, I'll go back to bed and attempt WILD. I usually get a couple of short LDs that way.

      So, after all that, what Im trying to say is why not spend that WBTB hour jotting down any dreams you remembered, or perhaps even pop onto dream views and go over the tutorials or read other people's dream journals for a few minutes to get you brain soaking up info on dreaming.

      Maybe that will help?
