When you perform a WILD (Or WTBD, I dunno), what do you listen to to wake up?
I use my alarm clock, which is HELLA annoying.
I can't even begin to describe the hidious BEEP!!! BEEP!!BEEEEEP!!!!
noise it makes >_<.

I've been thinking - maybe what you use to wake up can effect if your WILD will work or not?
Maybe if you turn on soft, slow music that gently wakes up up after an hour, you'll be more comfortable, thus perform a more successful WILD?

Because my heart really does race when I hear the "MUTHER$@&$! BEEEEEP!!".
And I heard that you shouldn't get too excited or alarmed during your 5 to 10 minute awakeness.

So, that's what I've been thinking about. What do you think?
Mainly wut I wanna know is what you use to wake yourself up, and if your technique is successful.

It's a good question, too.

Alarmn clocks wake you up, sure. But they also kill your recall because they wake you up so suddenly. I suppose they also could wake you up too much and make WBTB more effective.

To wake myself up, I drink a lot of water before bed and use mnemonics - tell myself I want to wake up after however many hours' sleep. Don't underestimate your body's alarm clock. Also recently I've been using bwgen playing throughout my sleep to wake me up and enhance dreaming, etc. It seems to be working.

You use the drinking techinque? I'm hella afraid of that one o_O

I'd like to use those bwgen songs, but when I tried to download it something went wrong or something.

Does your alarm have a volume option? It can really take the bite out of the beep. I sometimes use the radio option, but be careful it not always wakes you up it just gives your dreams a corny mexican song soundtrack.

something funny about my alarm clock is it is a little old and tired, so sometimes you can't turn it off by hitting it once, there have been times where I thought it was a false awakening so many times this past week, when really it was faulty electronics to blame.

Yeah as TBM said the body has a great internal clock. Just use self-suggestion before you go to sleep, think to yourself, "I will wake up at ... and remember my dreams!" or some thing like that.

I don't trust the radio alarm - too many variables.

Aand I cant change the volume on the alarm...

Maybe I should try my ipod's alarm.
