The other night, the moment I closed my eyes I had vivid HI, which lately is a rare thing for me. Except the HI were freakish ghoulish monsters coming at me it was like a horror movie. I tried to change the HI, so I imagined something pretty. But no matter what I imagined, it just got horrifically disfigured.

It was pretty vivid, I might have been able to at least do the beginning of a WILD with that! But the images got so disturbing I was actually starting to feel sick am I a dork or what. I opened my eyes for a minute, closed them again and the HI was back to normal.

Has that happened to anyone else here? How much control do you have over your HI? Or when WILDing, do you normally let your HI do whatever? It kinda reminded me of a nightmare. If I have a nightmare and I wake up, but if I keep my eyes close and go back to sleep immedietly, I almost always go straight back into the nightmare. But if I open my eyes for at least a minute, I go back to a much nicer dream instead. Wierd!

lol you're not a dork. A few weeks ago, i woke up, naturally, in the middle of the night. When I closed my eyes, all of a sudden it felt like a 200 lb weight was dropped onto my chest. It was SP, and I knew it, but omfg....it was so sudden and breathtaking....I couldn't help but to open my eyes.

As for your ghoul problem....well, I dont have any nightmares or freakish images like that...in fact I can only remember having one nightmare my entire life....the generic "unseen monster chasing you and you seem to be running in slow motion" nightmare....but it only lasted a few seconds that I can remember.

But it seems you've already found a way around the scary HI and nightmares by opening your eyes, although I can see how opening your eyes like that can be annoying. As to your question about whether or not anyone tries to control the HI...I don't. I just let it come as it comes, whatever it may be. It seems that when I try to control it, it begins to fade, so i just try not to mess with it....still haven't achieved a WILD yet, though I've only been practicing it for 1 1/2 weeks so I'm still learning it myself.
