Hey, i had the rare chance to sit quietly and listen to music in peace, and for some reason i remembered something about my second lucid dream. I would like to share it with you because i am also looking for the best way to induce a lucid dream when i have gotten good at dream recall and reality checks. In my second lucid dream it was complete blackness and i thought to myself "i'm dreaming" so i stayed calm, i stayed calm for about 20 seconds, then i yelled "increase lucidity now", i was told that by simply yelling a command like that could make the dream more realistic, but it sort of did too much, i felt my dream slipping away and i woke up. I am yet to have my third which i am looking forward to, but each night i strive to have a lucid dream but i always wake up in the morning thinking "yet again, i didn't have a lucid dream" its frustrating. Also how does WILD work, i've read on the forums about it but i don' think i'm gettin the jist of it. Do you sleep for 5 hours, then wake up and time it before your next REM period so that your eyes are closed and you try to remain conscious while trying to fall asleep. sorry if this is a bit muddled, i really need someone to explain it to me, don't direct me to the tutorials or info forums because i tried those and i didn't understand them either, thanks for any help

      Hey man again,

Alot of questions but hmm. From what I understand(I never completed a WILD), well not exactly, the whole principle of wild is to have your mind remain concious(necessary to lucid dream) while your body goes to sleep. Your supposed to wake after 5-6 hours (this can vary depending on when you begin pure REM sleep towards morning) and you should do something for 10-15 minutes. (Reading about lucd dreaming can't hurt) . Apparently you should begin by lying in a comfortable position, on your bed or couch or wherever your sleeping and close your eyes. Then you should focus on the dark in your eyes. I would focus on anything realistic but not "Oh, I hope I fall asleep soon" as this causes frustration)(I get this alot) Over some time (they say) you'll feel vibrations, and that your body becomes paralyzed. (to one degree or another, apparently it can also feel just kind of waxy or heavy). Once this happens (which can take a long time) you just keep thinknig of something reasonable and keep gently reminding yourself that "I'm thinking a little to become lucid" (I find this the most difficult)--- Eventually you will see some color or flashes/ shapes etc.... which will soon form into a dream image if you focus on them, and maybe just maybe you can "grab" it and pull yourself in. If you do get there, you've gotten into a lucid dream.

      Common problems I've heard of:

      -Fidgety/urge to move
      -Feeling hot
-Frustration at lack of results- probably the most common. give it a few tries, tell yourself you have the ability, and there is nothing to lose, there's no rush and you have unlimited chances

One recomendation that worked for me (I have it in different post "Was this a Modified Wild"or something) was waking up in the big rem period towards the end of the night, but keeping my eyes closed + not moving ,and picture yourself back in the dream, (I find that after a "semi-wakeup" imagery comes much more quickly to me. soon enough you may be in that half dream state and with some effort may be able to develop it into a lucid dream. (This worked like a gem for me) ---as a matter of fact I should try it again [u]
