When you dream or lucid dream is it like you are seeing thru your own eyes or is it like you are watching yourself do all this stuff and still being able to feel it and what not? For me it is both. I have to say, if you actually see yourself doing the stuff ,like you are "watching" yourself, that should be a big clue that you're dreaming. I still don't realize it sometimes though, LOL!
So which one is it for you?

For me it is most often a first person point of view.
Every once in a while I see my myself form a third person point of view. I never become lucid, as if I am too far detached.

I would like to see how that plays out if I did.

The two times that I've had LD's , it's been in first person. Might be different for other people, but I'm sure you could change it to third person or whatever if you tried though.

So far all my LD's have been first person, would probably be interesting to have a third person LD though. I have had a couple third person dreams, never made me become lucid unfortunately.

My LD's all started out first person, but I think a couple switched to third person when the detail faded away, just before I woke up. It's hard to be sure though, as by that point the dreams had faded out a lot.

My regular dreams are also usually first person, but they are occasionally third person for short amounts of time, and even occasionally completely disassociated from my body, especially when I'm playing video games or watching TV or a movie in my dream. These types of dreams were especially common when I was younger, to the point where I think they were just as common, if not more common than first person dreams

My dreams, for the most part, are in first person. Every now and then, I will get a scene or a certain cinematic shot that will change my vision into 3rd person, but it doesn't happen all that often.
A funny thing I just thought about though was that normally, when I dream, I feel like I'm always myself. Only when it's blatantly obvious that I'm someone else (like if I'm Batman or Superman and I can see that I have their costumes on and stuff) do I ever get the feeling that I'm not me, and that doesn't happen a lot. I had a dream last night, though, that I was someone completely different and the only reason I found that out was because I saw a picture of "me" that wasn't me, and I looked in the mirror and saw that I wasn't myself...
...my point is that...I wonder how may of the dreams that I have where I think I'm portraying some "alternate universe" version of myself...when I'm actually someone else?

      ...hmm...

Most of my dreams (I think) are in first person, but about one in every 10 is a third person dream, for me. Comes from playing video games too much, I suppose. It's irritating, because it's hard to do a RC when you don't have a body...
