      hi guys!

      i'm a newbie here

i've been reading the site and the forums to get more info about lucid dreaming. i have experienced LD before but in comparison to many of yours.. mine was just the tip of the iceburg.

this might be a silly question, but once i do get to the level to be able to LD on a more regular basis.. will i be able to NOT LD? i have always had very vivid dreams ever since i was young and i like not controling them.. i just want to make sure that i won't loose the ablitly to not be in control.

just close your eyes and dream for a while

Seems kinda odd that you would not want control, but to each his[or in this case her] own. Im not entirely sure but Id think this was possible, however if that doesn't work you always have the option of not using your ability to control.

I think you can still have some regular ND's as well. You really would just sit back, and accept everything, let your mind take you for the ride. Your mind can do what you want so you can always train it to LD or just ND, your never trapped if you don't want to be.

You can definetly still have non-controlled dreams. LaBerge was afraid of the very same problem when he started researching LDs, but actually even at the peak of your ability, you need some effort (no matter how small in comparison to today) to get a LD. If you don't do that effort you won't have an LD.

Don't worry about losing your capacity for normal dreaming. I doubt anyone ever has, especially if they didn't choose to.

      ok thankyou all

Pastro: i know, it may seem a little weird to not be in control.. but the dreams i have now are intriguing and i want to make sure that by giving me the ability to control my dreams that i wasn't taking away from the good thing that i already had going. hee hee.

      thanks again!
