There is such a thing as bringing dreams into your consciousness and the most practical way is called Psychedelics, but onfortunately we are not allowed to discuss such matters on these forums anymore.

for doing so would make us Blind for the unimaginable, unparalleled Capacity of and Wisdom contained within our Felt Knowledge;Subconscious Intuition.

      There's an even easier way:

      It's called Sleep Deprivation

People who go with sleep long enough start to dream while awake. There's been plenty of experimentation on the phenomenon. They will literally see dreamimages superimposed upon their normal vision. (and presumably the same thing counts for other senses too).

Ofcourse to do this you'd have to be awake for a long time, and really force yourself into situations where it's impossible to fall asleep (even for a few seconds). And it's really not something I'd recommend (in fact I strongly urge you NOT to try it) unless under controlled experimental circumstances

I have also heard something similar to this. It might have even been in EWLD but I'm not sure... anyway, it said that dreaming was one way to get out the thoughts of insanity that everyone has. If dreamimages are being superimposed on your normal vision, I would blatantly say that you are going insane! But if you see a book sprout arms and legs or an elephant squeeze through you door riding on a bouncy ball in a dream, your mind is getting rid of the crazy thoughts in a way that does not interfere with your reality.

When I began lucid dreaming, I thought that going lucid might be dangerous for this exact reason. If dreaming is to get out your insane thoughts, then by controlling your dream you are not letting you subconscious mind take its nightly dump. I think, however, that since being lucid means that you KNOW you are in a dream, ridiculous things are more than welcome to invade your thoughts without any question. In fact, most of us take advantage of that fact and use our dreams to DO the ridiculous!

Just something I heard though... could be wrong...

This brings me to my thought. Every-night, there is a hallucinogenic chemical that I wont mention, which is released on a very small amount into your brain. This is only released while you are asleep, and from the pineal gland. I have heard that the reason for having a hallucinogenic experience is because if you are not sleeping, then you get a build up of this chemical in your pineal gland, and eventually, it just releases.

Hopefully it is allowed for me to say this, and if not, please edit this out and give me a warning.

Perhaps sleep deprivation is the answer, but it really scares me. I have been known to claw up my face and arms and it's really frightening. I mean if I were doing this to myself while actually asleep, I may not be as worried, but I feel like I'm crazy when this happens while awake.
I'll admit to having random small hallucination throughout my day. i'll see a flash of something that couldn't possibly be real, and that then it won't be there, but it's not like my dreams. On one occasion i dreamed that there were half-rotted bodies were crawling out of my bathroom trying to get me. I woke up and I could see them through my open door...I was so real that I just started freaking out and screaming and then at some point they vanished--though I can never really differentiate when the creatures go away. They actually go hide somewhere and then I spend hours looing for them before I can go back to sleep. Am i crazy?

Is that similar to the reverse cowboy? 8) On a more serious note...sometimes I will be walking through my day and all of a sudden remember a dream that I had YEARS ago...a dream I never recorded and a dream that didn't stand out much back then. Perhaps that is bringing your dreams into your conscious state. Or maybe deja vu is alligned with that theory.
