This may sound weird or even stupid but I was thinking if you can work at it and bring your consciousness into your dreams, then why would you not be able to bring your dreams into your consciousness. |

I've considered it and tried it. I figure there is nothing physically different between some crazy people who see things and normal people, just some mental breakdown. There are safety locks in our brains that stop it is all. I've tried LD techniques in real life, telling myself when I turn this corner I'll hallucinate seeing <whatever>, and really trying to believe it. So far no dice. |
|
Oh have I tried, and haven't had any more luck than producing LDs at will. |
|
I don't think its a good idea. Mostly because you can get in big trouble if you see something and think its real when its not, or assuming something isn't real but it really is. |
|
I don't propose seeing something and thinking it is real, it's like in a lucid dream and knowing it is a dream but being able to produce an image as if it were real in the privacy of your own thoughts. After all what is real is the perception of that individual and knowing it is a manufactored in your mind would prevent any insanity prablems. |
|
I expect this is possible, but I doubt we'd figure out how to do it even after years of working. |
|
Really, trying to bring your dreams to consciousness will help induce LD at will? |
|
naturals are what we call people who did all the right things accidentally
Interesting thought. |

You know... I wonder if that isn't already happening on a small scale when you daydream. |

you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Knowing the possibility of such dangers as in the balcony scenario, to me would be sufficient enough to avoid danger, as for the insanity problem my logical thinking I hope would prevent it. |

I think it is from the hubble site, new relases or something like that, I'll see if I can find the link. It was a high res pic I just chopped it down to fit in the avatar box 130x160. |

Yes, I believe daydreaming is sorta like that, but even as vivid as daydreaming gets it nothign compared to actually dreams. As a recovered drug addict I still see things move or things that arent really there sometimes. SO is that like bringing dreams into reality by the unbalance of some chemicals in my brain?? If thats the case then bringing dreams into your reality would be about the same I think ! ?? |

You know, that's funny you should talk about that. I've been researching for a long time on exactly what that phenomenon is. I get it quite often. In fact, I feel as it if is a sleep disorder or something. I can't fully wake up from my dreams. I can walk and function normally, because I am truly awake, but I'm seeing the things that were in my nightmare int eh real world. I can see them and feel them too (because it seems to only happen with nightmares and usually that consists of creatures trying to get me.) and there have been times where I actually hurt myself because I think there are spiders or something crawling on me. I seem to do a lot of screaming on such occasions and most people who know me have just learned to ignore it. |
|
I once had a flying dream and taught myself EXACTLY how to do it so that when I woke up I would be able to fly. |

There is such a thing as bringing dreams into your consciousness and the most practical way is called Psychedelics, but onfortunately we are not allowed to discuss such matters on these forums anymore. |

not to overestimate the Value of our Concrete Knowledge;"Common sense"/Rationality,
for doing so would make us Blind for the unimaginable, unparalleled Capacity of and Wisdom contained within our Felt Knowledge;Subconscious Intuition.
There's an even easier way: |

I have also heard something similar to this. It might have even been in EWLD but I'm not sure... anyway, it said that dreaming was one way to get out the thoughts of insanity that everyone has. If dreamimages are being superimposed on your normal vision, I would blatantly say that you are going insane! But if you see a book sprout arms and legs or an elephant squeeze through you door riding on a bouncy ball in a dream, your mind is getting rid of the crazy thoughts in a way that does not interfere with your reality. |
