Well, my friend lucid dreams most nights naturally, so... How could something that can happen naturally hurt you in any way?!

I agree, but our minds can hurt us. Although lucid dreaming? Harmless. Unless you decide you want to screw with your head in them on purpose, which I doubt most people do.

But yeah, there is danger in everything one way or another, & especially when it comes to our minds, nothing is completely safe. But as long as you are careful, you'll be fine.

      Knowing is good.
      Being aware is good.
Knowing that you're aware that you're dreaming is lucid.
      SO IT'S GOOD

Well, maybe it's because this subject has been on my mind a lot lately that this occurs to me. Cancer occurs naturally as do many mental illnesses.

I don't want to be a party pooper here, but in certain individuals that are seriously unbalanced, I can see the possibility for problems, but only in those that are already in trouble. Case in point, consider the highly introverted individual, you know, the ones that only come out of their rooms for school and to eat. I can easily see someone like that when learning of lucid dreaming to pull even deeper inth their shell and remove themselves from reality.

Now, the good news, someone like that with a little coaching can learn to overcome their introversion, you know they are not happy being that was. Think of it, having a consequence free environment where they can get out and explore and learn to get over their problems.

I've been lucid dreaming for 15 years now, during that time, I've seen hundreds helped and have even had the honor to be involved in helping maybe 50 directly. I have only seen one person that had any problems because of lucid dreaming and he was doing OK last time we spoke.

OK, there you go. Full disclosure. Lucid dreaming is 99.9% safe
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

      Cancer?
But yeah, I agree with your statement. And besides people have been doing this for hundreds of years. Actually I've never heard about any bad things that might happen from those tibetan monks who invented (?) their dream yoga, or shamans, druids, whoever has been doing things like this.

I do not think this justifies me being called a bitch.[/b]
      Haha, owned.

Seeker's right, I think. The only danger is to people who have little hold on reality.

sorry, but... your mother is worrying about how you dream? just tell her to get back to reality!

lucid dreaming is just about as dangerous as thinking. it all takes place inside your brain.
Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience.
It isn't more complicated that that.
It is opening to or recieving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,
without either clinging to it or rejecting it.

Moms are protective, she just doesent want you to turn to 'the dark side'. Yes, they can be too protective sometimes... But thats just how they are!

She can try it herself... I mean, it wont take any time from her agenda... And she would have a good time, not to mention she could smoke krookedking's a$$ in lucid dreaming.
