I'm relatively new around here, so I decided I might as well put something interesting into my quasi-introduction thread.

I dreamed that I was walking into a small, but well lit room, and on the east wall there was a small dial, that had small notches and was labeled one to ten. I went straight up to it and did a reality check, it failed, I couldn't breathe through my nose. I turned the dial up to the 1 notch, and did another RC, it failed too. I kept turning it, and each time it failed. I kept thinking "huh, I'm not dreaming now, but maybe I'll be dreaming next time". Finally I turned the dial to its final position and did an RC, it worked, and I immediately became lucid, upon which I did all of the normal lucid things.

From what I've read this seems to be fairly uncommon, has anyone else had an experience like this?

Never had more than one RC fail..usually I just look at a digital clock or try to read text.. Sounds great that it ended up working out! I'm sure as you get more used to the RC usage you won't have that many RCs fail.

I left out a few of the details because my dad was pressuring me to get off . Anyway, each time I turned the dial it seemed like I became just a little bit more aware, kind of like a lucid dial. It would be great if I had a lucid switch as a dreamsign (I can't resist pushing buttons, or flipping switches/dials).
