      Terrible Dream, I'm scared

Ok, this isn't about a lucid dream, but its about one that made me too scared to try a WILD. So I was in his dream, and my mom showed me this map, and I started to scream for now apparent reason at all, one of the screams was sooo weird that it just freaked the hell outta me. I recognize it from a dream when I was like 7.

The weird thing is that the scream synced with my alarm, so right when I heard the scream, I woke up, and heard my alarm. Now I'm thinking that I just woke up because I got too scared, or the alarm triggered me the hear that dreaded scream. This really freaked me out, and I didn't want to try a WILD after that, in fear that I might hear that during SP or the LD.

You're just as likely to hear it in a normal dream than you are in a LD or SP. So I wouldn't worry about it.

you probably shouldn't worry. nothing bad is going to happen to you, but I guess if it's that bad then it all depends on how much you really want to WILD

I know I can't be harmed, but that sound just is scary, I don't like it. I also don't fear death in anything, I just have fears cause stuff is scary, yet now I can't think why. I guess its just because its disturbing and sounds real.

If you ever become lucid, summon the sound and confront it. Since you are the one screaming, summon yourself screaming. I know you really don't want to hear it, but this could help. Just ask yourself why you're screaming. After you know the answer, tell yourself to stop, that you don't want to hear that sound again.
I've heard of this method used to stop recurring nightmares. If you finally confront it, you can usually vanquish it.

If you're so scared, just give it up. Don't do it.. have a quiet life.

I've had a few dreams like that where I wake up screaming. A reoccuring dream i used to have was I'd see my great granny walking up the stairs but she was dead. She was a walking corpse. It used to scare the fuck outta me. My advice though is stop being such a pussy. You cant die or even be hurt in dreams and even if you could that would still be no excuse to be scared.

Ur not getting it... In dreams, you don't think clearly, you feel its real, you cant distinquish what is fake and what is not most of the time. When you're in the dream, you feel like it is real, but in real life, it is sounds very foolish. You're not the same person when in a dream, remember that..

It was probably the noise of the alarm that syncronized with the scream. If you ever listen to music while sleeping, the same thing can happen. One I was listening to a classical music station, and in a dream I heard this goose making a weird noise. It turned out to be a flute from my radio.

Another time (and this is a funny story) I was sleeping over at my grandparent's house. I dreamed that my brother was talking, and after every few words he would moo like a cow. I woke up, but I could still hear the noise. After I became fully awake, I realized that it was my grandma snoring!

I guess I'm lucky, the worst I've got was loud urination being included before waking, annoyingly I was lucid....
