Not sure I understand. If she is aware she is dreaming - she must have some level of control - even if its only of herself (and you don't even need to be lucid to control yourself in a dream). How is making conscious decisions altering fate or even 'interfering with the sub/unconscious' (which may be what she is concerned about)?

In a LD control is more conscious than in a normal dream, and the control can extend beyond yourself to the dream scene. Lots of people choose not to control the scene - they just like being a conscious participant. This kind of LD is not 'interfering with the sub/unconscious' and is worth going for as the experience is so vivid. Normal dreams (whether aware or not that its a dream) compared to an LD, is like real life compared to watching tv.

As others have said - I tell stories rather than sell the theory.
