Thread: Is any one able to read/write in dream?

Had a lucid dream the other night, a person in the dream asked me to write
my name in a log journal.
As i was writting my name i saw the letters change as i wrote them (Morphing effect) I know this is common because they say a different part of your brain is working/not working.

I just relaxed and tried again, I imagined writting in the dark and just felt
the motion of my hand. As i did this i saw my name being spelled out
and it didnt go away.

My questions is:
Do you think its possible to read more them limited words?
im guessing the only reason it worked is because the spelling of my name is stuck in my mind plus i was lucid.

and has any one else read stuff?

I usually don't have too much trouble reading, in dreams. It's when I go back and try to re-read, what I just read, that the text is often different. I once sat down in a lucid dream and was reading a book on metaphysics, and I could get through entire paragraphs. When I'd lose my place, I'd go back and start the paragraph again, only to find out that the entire text that changed. It would still be on the same subject, but I could tell it wasn't the same paragraph I'd read a minute ago.
[Edit: I just recently went back and re-read the dream. It seems the text changed to an entirely different subject. I forgot all about that. ]

Also, I remember becoming lucid, picking up a piece of paper and writing "I am dreaming" on it, and sticking it in my pocket with the intention of taking it out, periodically, and reminding myself. The dream ended before I looked at it again, but I was able to write it, at least, with no problems.

I havn't ever tried, myself, although I'll try to remember to write something down next time I'm lucid. I personally feel that anything is possable in dreams although some things such as writing may be difficult.

I've written into my dream journal before.

I've had that same experience with the text changing, during both lucid and non-lucid dreams. I've had at least one dream where I was composing something long, and when I went to proof read it, the text was foreign to me and I could tell it wasn't at all what I had written.

Yeah.
Thing is, I'm in a Lucid Dream, the last thing I'm going to do is read.
