      What was this?

Okay so I've always been a good lucid dreamer. When I want to I can always do it. But lately before going to sleep I decide what I want to dream in full conciousness. I just think the outline of the dream a couple of times at night. When I sleep, it is completely normal but my dream comes true, nearly exactly the way I want it to. Can anybody tell me what this is? Just curious to know, it is pretty cool.

You could class it as a form of MILD, thats if its a lucid dream your having, the power of suggestion and thought for you seems to drift to your subconsciouss mind thus it projecting it when you have a dream. Your lucky to have that, i wish i could do it, lucids ain't as easy for some.

Update - Sorry i forgot to mention, MILD stands for Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream just in case your wondering.

Thankyou for telling me, it's funny because I was just wondering if I could do it, and when I tried I could. I didn't think I could. I guess You can achieve something by just trying. When I was dreaming I thought it was really happening though, so I didn't think it would be a lucid.

Well... technically I suppose it could be a form of VILD. That's Visually Incubated Lucid Dream, you picture how the dream is going to pan out and think about that for a while and then you dream about it, right? Except you're not becoming lucid. So it's a VID, Visually Incubated Dream. I do think that there is somewhat of a grey borderline between MILD and VILD though, so it really could be classed as either.

If by completely normal you mean non-lucid, then it is simply an incubated dream. This is what I was looking to accomplish long ago, which lead me to learning about lucid dreaming.
