      How lucid dreams effect sleep

I don't know if I'm posting this in the right forum but anyways I was wondering if When you lucid dream you can shorten the time your body needs to sleep because it seems after a Luciod dream I am always well rested. If this is the case it's a major break through.

Yeah, I feel like that after lds aswell, but there are some who say lds make your sleep less restfull.

I believe that while you are in lucid dream you are in REM cycle, where correct me if I am wrong you body heals

I always feel more awake after a good Lucid. even if I only have slept for a couple of hours. But that's mostly because I get so excited about it.

That's exactly how I felt the one and only time I've had an LD. I woke up pretty early and waited until I was alone to type it all out. I laid in bed and went over it so many times and each time my smile got bigger. I was so happy I finally had one and I tried to go back to sleep and have another one, but couldn't. I was wide awake.
