Maintaining states of lucid dream superconsciousness-- erotic, mystical, aesthetic, romantic, etc.

I said the following two paragraphs in another thread, and it is such a big issue with me that I decided to start a thread on it. At this point in my lucid dream development, there is no bigger issue with me. Once I attain the goal I described, I will feel like I have reached the top of the mountain. If anybody can attest first hand to what I am talking about and give me suggestions, I will GREATLY appreciate it...

"I have never actually gone through with sex in a lucid dream. The times I have come near it, I experienced erotic stimulation that is out of this world. Because of that, I always get so excited that I lose the situation and either switch to a totally different scene or wake up. But I am not going to give up. I want to master lucid sex because it seems to have an incredible world to offer.

That is just like the other types of extreme states I have attained in lucid dreams. I have mastered attaining and maintaining lucid dreams, but I have not mastered maintaining states of extreme consciousness, such as mystical, sensory overloading, and supererotic states. I know how to attain them every time, and I know how to maintain mere lucidity every time. I just don't know how to maintain superconsciousness every time. I see a lot of possibility in learning how to maintain those states, but I haven't gotten there yet. I can hold onto them for about three seconds. If I could turn that into three minutes, or better yet thirty minutes, I would really be a happy camper."

Have any of you learned to maintain those superstates? I just want to know for sure that it is possible to do so and the best suggestions for learning how. I will be very thankful to anybody who can give me good information on this. It is my ultimate goal in lucid dreaming and what I have been working on for years. Maybe I just need to keep practicing, but added confidence resulting from first hand success accounts would definitely help. I will have reached one of my major goals in life. It is that important to me, and I would love to teach others once I master it.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

No. Do you think it would help with what I am talking about?

It's very possible. I haven't really delved into it although I would like to. I knew someone once who had worked extensively with the "dark arts" and they appeared to believe this was the best and perhaps most dangerous way of awakening vasts amount of energy.

From what I have read about tantric sex, many have experienced what they refer to as "kundalini awakenings" which seems to be the type of experience you might be on the edge of. Even on wikipedia, there are also warnings abotu side effects of this type of experience.

I'd personally be willing to take the risk myself, but I think you should be advised to do so with caution. If possible, you might even want to seek out a teacher like Michael Winn. He does retreats in North Carolina on these types of Taoist Arts and specializes in the dark arts, although I've never met him myself. I've never been on one of these retreats and probably wouldn't believe everything they say, but I still think some kind of guidance at this point of your development might be wise.

      Good luck!

I'm saying that since "Universal Mind" feels like he is on the edge of "superconscious" and he says he comes closest to this when having sex in his dreams. So, he is probably close to a very raw energy source that yogis and those that have acheived great control are sometimes able to unleash. He's apparently acheived great control over his dreams, but the type of experience he feels he is closing in on defintely sounds like he is near to awakening a powerful and primal energy that most of us are never able to awaken. Tantric sex has been used as one of the primary means of awakening this type of energy. And then I'm just saying that he should proceed with caution. Get it?

Thanks. That sounds like good advice. I think meditation, sensory deprivation, and astral projection have helped me in achieving, maintaining, and enhancing lucidity, so I can see where tantric sex would too, especially with lucid sex.

I'm not sure if it is about tapping into any kind of extremely difficult potential, although maintaining it is difficult. I think that when in any dream state, there is an increased capacity for the experience and appreciation of music, visuals, sex, and philosophical awareness. I think there is more room for emotional extremity too. I have experienced all of those things in dreams, lucid and non-lucid. It is just that in lucid dreams, there is probably even more room for expanding those experiences because the dreamer knows it is a dream and has the option of controlling them. However, it is apparently harder to hold onto those things in a lucid dream. But I will definitely be working on it.

Wow.. I'd really like to be where you are in dreaming ability right now. What did you think has been the biggest factor in helping you achieve lucidity at will? Do you use the WiLD method predominantly?
