But something about my last dream is bothering me.
I remember being able to control my own actions only, just like in real life. I couldn't change the scene or anything else. The dream basically involved me trying to prove to friends and family that I'm dreaming. I am almost 100% sure that I was actually lucid but not in complete control (That can happen, right?).
Problem is, in the middle of the dream I actually remembered some of the reality checks I had learned here, but they didn't work!
- I tried looking at a digital clock (It was supposed to display strange figures and numbers) but it was fine.
- I tried running my right hand into my left one (Apparently it was supposed to go right through it) but it felt just as though I was doing it in real life and my hand didn't go through.
- and several other things which were supposed to occur during dreaming all seemed as though it was real life.
Can anyone explain what the hell happened to me? (Mind you, that I wasn't sleepwalking or anything of that sort. Just to clear things up)
Thanks a bunch!
Digital Clocks from my experience don't show the same time twice, sometimes they may display weird figures and number, but what you will notice most likely is it saying 2:20 and then 4:53, and then 8:22, and it could even be like 1110:19718 something weird like that or AB2378.
More often for me in my experience it's just that the same time does not appear every time you look at it. However I have come to some quite odd conclusions and had DC's tell me some odd things to throw me off. Like one time a DC said oh it's a army clock so it goes back and forth which I almost bought, or that because "Oh don't worry it shows the correct time randomly".
As for running the finger through the hand this requires you to be able to move through walls and other objects first as running the finger through the hand is pretty much the same thing so if you can't do those than you probably won't be able to to this one.
The easiest is the nose check and the digital clock in my experience. My hands feel very real although if I wanted to I guess I could run a finger though it.
