      Meditation!!!!

      So iv been meditating every now and then , ive read many articles about mediations yet i still dont know what suppose to happen when u meditate? are you suppose to see images floating around, ur body feeling light, images become fuzzy? wat are u suppose to feel or see?!! its driving me crazy im not sure if im even doing it correctly.

      Are u suppose to see HI like in WILD , feel vibrations etc

      i would really like to know

      It depends. There are many types of meditation. What are your goals of meditation. What would you like to accomplish?

      Actually, I've been wanting to start myself. People report being in a very calm, almost blissful state while WILD'ing. I would like to achieve this state through meditation.

      I've been planning on doing a simple sitting position, and trying to clear my mind as much as possible, though not forcefully.

      Any suggestions? I haven't actually really tried it quite yet.
      Have you heard the gypsy hymns in the odd hours of the night?

      Well, that would be like a witnessing the mind type meditation. Basically, if you put energy and focus on your mind, you stop having thoughts. Just be nothing. But first off, while you are sitting here, focus on your mind and ask "What will my next thought be" and then wait and listen.





      Do now before reading on!







      You should have found that you had no thoughts...It's the same thing in meditation...be the observer and be nothing. Just relax. If that's too complicated, then focusing on a specific picture or phrase in your head can accomplish close to the same thing.

      Here is my basic stuff for beginners that I usually teach. Super simple and fun. All the calm mind stuff can seem boring, lets talk lucid enhancing fun.
      You can see colors with your eyes closed. Try it, sit in the dark and watch. Crazy little dots or squiggles. First just watch, until you have no question you see wath I mean. Next try to control this. Start with a favorite color. Imagine things that color (RED-lipstick, blood, red wine)(Blue-sky, water, blue eyes) anything like that. This will make those colors more common as you watch. After you can get one color to appear try to make it a circle of that color. This can go on and on to amazing levels. I can sit in the dark or just close my eyes and summon magic symbols in space like a yellow triangle crossed by a blue one forming a star of david, and so on.

      But really, I like that meditation you just taught, so yeah go with that.

      The way I approach meditation is to get my inner voice to shut the hell up for a little while. Meditating on my breath is one way to achieve that. Getting engrossed in playing my instrument, especially with others, is another way. Exercise can sometimes do it for me too, when it is exercise with a purpose.

      In all cases, for me, the game is to shut up the eternal inner din of analysis, anticipation and reaction and just fall into experiencing the moment for what it is.

      There are so many variations. My meditations are more focused on seeing things in a different light when i'm done meditating.

      First i become aware of my entire experience at this very moment.
      Including the realization everything is part of this experience, part of what i see.
      And there being nothing more, to me.
      Then i focus on what i see as truth while being aware truth is also part of my perception.
      In that truth i find something i would like to change.
      After getting a grasp on this, i let the aspects i dislike of this certain thing fade away, and be replaced with something i prefer, while still realizing this is all part of my perception.
      After getting a grasp on that, and feeling no resistance whatsoever, satisfied with my change, i let myself enter the system i now perceive as truth.

      Meditation is used to clear your mind of thoughts and induce relaxation. This is it's purpose in it's most basic form. From this point you can use it to do other things involved with meditating.

      Magidood, that is very funny! I laughed and am still smirking. Actually I do all the calm mind and breathing things. I actually meant that for beginners, energy tricks and visual manipulation can grab their attention and get them going where some just cant see quite meditation as seeming fun. I will add at least 1 more basic skill building technique soon, but my girl, is wanting dinner now. So It may be awhile. Again, you made me laugh, thanks.
