Thread: A video game from Hell?? Recurrent...

Well.. this dream isn't recurrent in that I have it every night... but I've had it about 5 times over this past school year.. It's not always the same.. but the basic idea and events and people they involve are usually pretty similar..

It always starts out with one of my friends from school.. and we're talking... and sometimes she stays with me throughout the dream.. and somehow.. sometimes I lose her...

Anyway... it always comes down to me playing this video game on my old Nintendo 64 system... I've never played this game and I never find out the title... but at somepoint... I become afraid of one of the bosses or enemies I have to beat... (when I first got my Super Mario 64... I was afraid of the little boos... but I've gotten over that... they're actually kinda cute... but anyway)... Because I'm afraid.... I try to turn the game off and go to bed... so I shut off the TV, but it just turns back on again... and the game is still playing... so I remove all the input cords from the TV... but I don't actually disconnect the power from the video game system.... even with the input cords torn away... the game is still playing... I let it play because I can't turn it off... so I fall asleep in my bed... but keep waking up within the dream because the TV keeps wheeling itself closer and closer to me... and in my dream... I'm just going nuts.. and everytime I get close to turning off the power on the system.. it moves... and I'm tired.. so I keep falling asleep while I'm trying to do this... eventually... I wake up for good in my dream... and the TV isn't there... but now it's this gray apparition... usually a woman.. though I never see her face.. just her hair... and she never speaks... The floating apparition then tries to smother me in my own bed sheets... and then.. before I die.. I wake up... That was the dream I had last night..

Another variation involves the same friend in the beginning... but in this one... she stays with me the whole time and we're trying to drive away from this apparition... and we can always feel when she gets closer... In this variation... we're completely frightened... and we know that if we're caught... the outcome will be horrific....

Like I said... this is the 5th time I've had this dream this school year... Every time it scares the crap out of me.... because while the idea of the dream sounds silly... there is always this sense of great fear and the atmosphere is quite ominous...

I don't know what I've been doing the day before each of these dreams that differs from my every day life... that I keep having it...
