      False Sleep Onset

I hear a lot about false awakenings with regard to lucid dreaming, but I have been trying to achieve WILDs and I find that I get a lot of false sleep onset sequences. I transition into a dream where I am trying to fall asleep so I can have a lucid dream. I bet I've wasted as much as ten or fifteen minutes trying to get to sleep after I've fallen asleep. I've even dreamed of falling asleep in my dream and beginning to lucid dream and then waking back up into my dream bedroom.

      Have other people experienced this?

Yes, this happend to me a few times, exactly as you describe it. The good side is that while I am inside the dream, I find it quite easy to do the WILD, and enter the nested lucid-dream.
