When I'm waking up at morning, I am trying to get into sleeping paralysis, i can get it very easily, but when i have it, it lasts for 10 - 20 seconds, then it vanishes and nothing is happening one time i read somewhere, that when you have sleeping paralysis and you want to get higher level of it, you should visualise that you are melting into your bed, i tried that and i had positive effect but i got scared and woke up (my body started to move by itself, i was changing like position from laying on my back to sitting on chair), today i tried to have paralysis again, but now, when i was moving into it i was thinking about the music sadness and sorrow and i heard it :O it was like new version or something ;P and yeah, then it vanished with my sp
What am i doing wrong ?
PS. If you don't understand something, then please tell me and ill try to write it better so you can understand it (im Polish and my English isn't good)

Is is noisy where you're trying to sleep? Any sudden noise brings me out of it.
Personally, I think SP is pretty scary anyway, so maybe you're afraid of that
feeling? Do you start to panic, or get nervous when you're in SP?
As I was going up the stair / I met a man who wasn't there. / He wasn't there again today / I wish, I wish he'd go away

Hmmm, maybe i'm a bit nervous, whats going to happen in a moment and im going to fail again.
And yeah, when im moving into SP, sometimes i can start panicing because im thinking what should i do now to complete it.
      Thanks for reply

Not a problem. I'm new to this, but from what I've heard, being nervous in that
state can bring you out of it quickly. So, that may be it. I've only had SP once(I mean
      fully in SP),
so I'm not really sure what to tell you about it.

What is sleeping paralysis? is that were like your limbs feel numb when you are half asleep? cos I had that in my right arm for 5 minutes after a lucid last night.

I must ask the reason for wanting to have SP? Personally I find it very scrary! Is there some sort of lucidity that comes from SP? Whenever I experience it I do not want to go back to sleep! I do not like the feeling at all...

Maybe you're doing it wrong... it should not feel painful, it should feel relaxing. As for the "scariness" part of it, just tell yourself it is no different than sleeping... I have only been in SP once (today) and it was truly amazing. Tonight I will try to re-enter SP and from there commence a LD.
