      So......annoyed.....

Ok so last night I tried the WBTB technique....it didn't go so well.... I woke up stayed up for two hours like the "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" said...then tried to go back to sleep......didn't work for about an hour and a half.....I was just tossing and turning. Then I proceeded to have a whole crapload of dreams during which I didn't become lucid at all *sigh* oh well I just have to keep trying.

I think I've come up with what I think is a dream sign. My dreams always have people that I've never meet before but I'm interacting with them as if I know them.....perhaps I should do reality check whenever I meet someone new in real life? That's seems to be a constant in my dreams... but then again maybe that's everyone's. I'm trying to find a failsafe reality check that I can easily remember that will guaranteed come to me in a dream rather than me actively looking for it (cause I always tend to forget to look!)

Is it possible to make meeting random dream characters into a reality-check-dream-sign?

'Ello. I more often than not meet randoms and interact with them as if I knew them.

To answer your question; I don't see why you wouldn't be able to make that a RC/DS.

Why not do a reality check whenever you meet someone new in real life, or are speaking to someone you don't know very well?
If you think you can't, you're right.

dont freak out because you didnt get lucid the first time you tried a tech, it isnt going to work everytime. you may want to try a diferent version. wake up around 5am take a 5-10 minute quik shower and then go right back to sleep, I tried it twice, it worked once.

      ^Probably

Is it possible that WBTB isn't for you? I've read that not every method is right for everyone. I'm a natural, but unless I stick to my own WILD technique, I just have random, non lucid dreams. With my own WILD technique, I have lucids every night. Try telling yourself that you are going to sleep and you're going to dream. Or just try and stay aware whilst you fall asleep. I've also found that peppermint is very good for lucids if I am having a dry spell (rare, but it happens, even to naturals)

Two hours?? I'd feel restless, too! I wouldn't give up on WBTB too soon. Stay up for much shorter increments. Try 15 minutes. Sometimes, even that's too long for me! Even if you fall asleep (assuming you are WILDing), you may still get a MILD out of the deal.
