YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I Finally mastered Lucid Dreaming!!!!!!

      FINALLY!

After 6 months of trying I can now have lucid dreams at will!!!!!

I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke so i didn't write this after my first try, Ive had 3-4 lucid dreams each night for the last 7 days using this technique.

Last night i SWEAR!!!! I had the most beautiful Lucid dream I really like watching surfing videos (but never did it myself) I guess watching all those videos made there way into my subconscious and last night I felt like I was surfing in heaven!!!! Crystal clear waters, white sands,Sunny day, and hot girls, and massive waves!!!!! The best part is I surfed like a pro!!

And the great things is this technique is ridiculously easy!

Im not sure if this technique already exists so dont make fun of me if it does!

      ----------------------------------------------------------------

You need at least 5 hours of sleep

You must wake up in REM break

You should feel tired, and feel as if you can go back to sleep easily

Just lay there in bed with your eyes closed as if your going back to sleep

Now imagine a dream scenario and being in there (imagine walking around your dream scenario).

THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT Now imagine seeing a Dream Character and telling them your dreaming.

Example “Hey XYZ this is all a dream, where just dreaming!!! None of this is real! What do you want me to do to prove to you that where dreaming?”

Note: when you tell your DC that this all a dream, you convince your mind that your actually dreaming and it starts the dream

Basically you have to pretend that your having a lucid dream and it will eventually become a real lucid dream and by the time it transitions you’ll know that your no longer pretending and that your actually having a Lucid Dream.

      ----------------------------------------------------------

I guarantee this will work for ANYONE!!!!!!!

you will probably have a Lucid Dream on your first night!!

Pretty cool. I'm sure this is just a variation of WILD, but with some new elements added to it. Good job! If it works for you, that's the main thing. I'll try this tonight and post results

Wow, this sounds awesome. I'll try it tonight to see if it works for me.
There is no greater joy than soaring high on the wings of your dreams, except maybe the joy of watching a dream who has nowhere to land but in the ocean of reality.

Do you wait for SP to kick in or just keep thinking it then go to sleep ?

i don't feel SP when I do this.

Basically in a Wild you have SP and when you have SP you either visualize a dream scenario and your there, or you roll your dream body out of your physical body.

However, in my technique when I have a break in my sleep during the night, I just lay in bed and visualize being in my front drive way telling my dad "Hey dad, where dreaming, this is all fake, I can do anything!" and then you'll notice your no longer imagining and that you've entered a Lucid Dream.

The cool thing is you can imagine any dream scenario, even a strip club! Just tell the stripper your dreaming and you know the rest

yeah this is currently what I've been working on for like 3 weeks, your one of the lucky ones (extremely lucky) I have been getting really good at visualising recently, I've atually done this thing you decribe but in order for me to do it, and many others, you have to get into a very passive state and watch your thoughts.

This kind of thing has been around for a very long time, but strangely it's not well known, most likely because of the fact that it is not in the tutorial section, I and several other friends of mine planned to write a large very in depth tutorial on this tech, not just for people like you who have a very easy time transending into a dream, but people like me who find it difficult to do, only when the tinyist string of conscious is left over will it work for me.

Though your right it has a twist, I might try the twist, thanks for the idea.

I have a problem getting up anytime during the night, my visualisations are always poor it seems, so I am going to try doing this before sleep, I know of someone who has done it before sleep many times, so I'll just take his advise and try it.

yes you have to visualize telling a DC that its just a dream (Pretend to be Lucid)

also I dont do RC, when lucidity starts you'll naturally know.

      1. I set my alarm clock for 5 hours; when it goes off i turn it off and just go back to sleep

      2. The next time I wake up during and REM break I just lay there in bed

      3. Visualize the beach, walk to the girl and tell her your dreaming and that all this is fake, and that you can do anything, its just a lucid dream etc. (Pretend to be lucid)

      4. As your talking to her you'll have a feeling that comes over you that tells you your actually dreaming now.

Dont think too much, "did i do right? am i dreaming yet? How much longer?

Just go with the flow and in no time youll be able to do it at will

The base process has worked for me but I never thought of going up to someone and bragging "hey this is a dream" "let me prove it".
      That sounds so cool.
Will add that to the regimen tonight/morning.
Everything else I have been doing already and have had 2 LD's in 3 nights/mornings of trying.
Thanks for sharing. Without all of these posts I would never have progrressed so quickly.

This is pretty much the same as this technique. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...t=40127&page=2

I don't believe you have to prove to a dream character you are dreaming, you have just got to pretend that you are lucid until the thought comes alive. I don't think this technique is everyone though, you have to have good visualization skills to pull this off. I have tried this technique a couple of times before but i was too awake because i don't remember until i have been awake for a couple of minutes.

I am really glad that someone has mastered this technique because it has motivated me too do the same. This has too be the best way of becoming lucid because you choose where and who is in your dream! I like the strip club idea btw.

I bet you look forward to sleep having mastered this technique.

This has got to be the best method ever because you choose where you want to become lucid, and who is in it.

I cannot visualise anything I want to, my visualizations usualy look like a level in some video game, and keep following a track with long side walks, and narrow passageways, if I try to for example visualise my house, it never works.

I naturally knew I was dreaming when I LD'ed. I didn't even think of RCing (something I never manage to make into a habit anyways lol).

Anyways, I'm probably gonna try this next chance I get. If I wake up in the middle of the night tonight (being on a strange bed, I'm betting it will happen ), or next weekend I'll set an alarm to wake me up, and try this . I'm excited to see if it'll work for me :O.

westonci: cool. Do you often tell DC's when you become lucid? Just I'd guess that's one reason it works so well for you, if you have something that's very strongly associated with the sensation of becoming lucid, then visualising that would really help.

I'd say the talking to someone is probably the other half of it. I.e. it works with your audio-imagination, and I think imagining talking to someone is something that comes very naturally.

      actually no.

The first time it just happened that i imagined walking in my front yard and telling my dad this is all a dream and I can do anything?

Next thing i know im no longer imagining having a lucid dream and im actually in one.

I thought it was a fluke so I tried it again, it worked. I tried it the next night and i had 4 LDs.

I still thought it was a fluke.

The next day I had a really bad and stressful day, and i thought it woudnt work that night cuz of having such a bad day. I ended up having 3 LDs

After a week of having so much LDs I thought id share it with everyone

Confidence was a big thing for me, I naturally went lucid during a dream, but it was blurry and I woke soon after. I grew annoyed and said "How dare I be cheated out of a lucid!". So I imagined (very clearly) that I was walking down a riverbank. Soon I noticed that I wasn't animating my movements with my mind but was actually controlling them. I then increased vividness by dipping my hand in the water.

Also, do you have to wake naturally or do alarms work? I'm usually comatose till morning and don't remember the brief waking moments.

You also can't guarantee that it will work for everyone.

i set my alarm for 5 hours as a marker that ive had enough sleep to be in deep REM. Then I go back to sleep

After i go to sleep, the next time i wake up is during a brief awakenings (i call them REM breaks) this is when you do the tecnique

You dont have to do the alarm clock thing, i just do it so that i dont end up doing this technique 2 hours after gone to sleep. Cuz you wont have much luck for the first 4-5 hours no matter what tecnique you use

I read in the LD WikiBook that this technique (VILD - Visually Incubated Lucid Dream) is covered in detail at LD4all. Let's see if I can find a link...

Vild isn't really a WILD like technique there is a break in conscience with VILD, the actual technique of VILD takes place before sleep, and you fall asleep well visualising and dream about that scenerio, I've never quite mastered that, but I havn't tried for long, I hear it's quite effective.

Its more like a WILD in which you keep your consciousness by pretending to be lucid.

In a VILD you need to practice a dream scenario in which you do a RC

In my technique you don't need to do any RC

I would say my method is more like Adams Guide to Lucid Dreams as well as Ev's Dream-reentry via VOID/Visualization

Haven't been trying out too many techniques lately, but this piqued my interest... this sounds a lot like what I used to achieve my pre-DV lucid dream.

It might just be your confidence in this technique rubbing off on me, but I'm really quite hopeful about this one.

I'm trying to contain any opinions until I have a chance to try it.

If this works like it did those years ago, this might be my holy-grail of sorts. I'll leave my results tomorrow morning (late afternoon for most folks... )
