Has something like this ever happened to you?

So a couple nights ago I attempted to WILD. I think I got close because a faint figure of my pet snake appeared.

Anyways... My snake appeared, and I was just casually watching it. But for some reason, I reached in to pick up my snake and it bit me. When the snake bit me, I JERKED out my sleep, pulled my hand "away" from the snake real quick and hit myself in the face... hard...

      What does this mean?

Oh, and I have another question; What does it mean when you wake up and you can't move your limb(s) or talk?

      Thanks in advanced.

The not being able to move is called SLEEP PARALISIS, I've noticed its common with ppl that have experienced lucid dreaming, not very good at giving detail about it, but its nothing that you should freak about, just educate yourself about it...
Oh and the hitting yourself on the head, LOL it reminds me of the time I was dreaming about a dummy chasing me, and was choking me when it caught up, worst part is I wokr up choking myself glad I woke up from that!!
I also used to punch and kick HARD while I was asleep, which made me sleep on my stomach with my arms under me for a while just to make sure I dont do that again... Eventually it stoped, I wish I knew why it would happen though

I've punched and kicked out in dreams alot too, I always graze my knuckles and heels on the wall next to my bed. Atleast it wakes me up and I remember the dream leading up to the injuury, I guess.

so you hit yourself in the face, in real life? D=

you gotta remember, the biggest difference between HI's associated with a WILD and actually dreaming is the body is NOT asleep in an HI. HIs at best are just really awesome day dreams. Have you ever fallen asleep in class, but could still here your teacher lecturing? In a normal sleep mode you wouldn't be able to hear your teacher because your hearing would practically turn off.

you're so close to getting a WILD! I say next time, just remember nothing in an HI can hurt you

Yeah, I was trying to pull my hand away from my snake... Not the best way to wake up. :p.

I think I get it, but just to clairify: What's a "HI"?

hypnogogic imagery, or the images you saw while attempting a WILD, like your snake

I think its pretty cool, but I hate the fact that ONE part of you can be asleep while the other isnt, Im still trying to get used to that idea
