      What am i doing wrong

      okay ive been trying to lucid for a while now and i just cant. it feels like i am not even getting closer to it and i was wondering why.
      What do i do wrong.
      i set my alarm up to wake me up at 4 am
      i get up - pee come to my room and write in my dream journal the dream that i had before waking up - if i had a dream.
      then i go to bed and lie down comfy and starts breathing slowly focusing on my exhale to make sure i relax totally when doing it
      i also think about what i dreamt prior to waking up and the last image i had
      and then i think bout the scenario i want to be lucid in
      i fall asleep and next thing i know is i wake up ???
      can someone tell me what technique im doing there and why its not working?

      You're doing WBTB + VILD

      Try using something else, say, MILD? You're not doing anything wrong, you're either on a dry spell or VILD isn't for you.

      There are a few things we dont know that would help us.

      How long have you been trying, you may just not have been trying long enough.

      You are probably having trouble though because of the technique your using. You seem to be using wild, going from waking to dreaming. Wild is normally very difficult for beg gingers, so try mild or dild.

      if you have to lay completely still, means when you have an itch(dont scratch), dont swallow, dont move your eyes, if your feet feel like movin (dont move them) because your body needs to beleive thats its time to shut down and go to sleep. and the trick to a wild is mind awake, body asleep
