      Experimentation with the Subconcious

I have read multiple things about the subconscious and the ability to actually speak with it in lucid dreams, but what I don't know is if it's actually possible. Has anyone actually done it? If so what are the implications of it? Could I actually alter my self in the real world? Increase concentration and memory? Alter the very core of the programming of my brain. Could I make every dream lucid by making the consciousness come in to every dream by default?

There have been a few discussions of it here and there on DV.

I've tried one of the dream tasks of opening a book to the subconscious and seeing what was written in it. It was all scribble and gave me feelings rather than words.

My point is that talking with your subconscious in dreams is quite difficult, but after reading the testaments here in DV, it is possible if you're willing to work at it. Whether it would change who you are in real life? I'm not sure- each individual is the only one capable of measuring inner change.

Some people call on Dream guides to help them become lucid, which are more or less, reflections/personifications of the subconscious. There are one or two people that swear by it. i'm working up to it myself, actually.

I am one of the ones who swears by dream guides, although I don't think they are part of the subconsciouss, I think they are seperate. But, I do think communicating with the subconsciouss is possible, and changing who you are could only be possible if you could make the subconsciouss do what you wanted. Otherwise it would be like trying to record over an ordinary audio CD, impossible.

wow, sounds kinda scary if you think about it, if you could actually manage to TELL your subconscious what you want to be? would you really want to do that? change yourself? if you do then it doesnt sound like you know who you really are, so how can you think you know who you want to be?

I'm interested to know where they might come from, and how you go about meeting them. Could you shed some light on this?

A bit more complicated than just "telling it" though...I suggest doing some research into neuro linguistic programming if you all are serious about communicating with your subconscious.

One problem with me is that its hard for me to make other people understand exactly what I mean, I know what I mean and I know what I am trying to say, its just that to me, putting it in the right words, or explaining it correctly is the hard part... Reason I dont teach

You know, a few years back, BEFORE,, WAAAY BEFORE I knew lucid dreaming existed, all I knew is that I could become aware I was dreaming, for a while my nightmares stopped, but my deams would be about everyday life, so realistic and NOTHING out of the ordinary that for a minute, I was scared about not being able to realise WHEN I was dreaming and when i was awake, doing Reality Checks never crossed my mind because I didnt even know I wasnt the only one in the world having lucid dreams, I just ALWAYS, awake or dreaming would pay CLOSE attention to everything around me to see if there is anything out of the usual .... NOW that I am more educated about all this, I think it would be fun to go back to those days and experiment, but for someone new to lucid dreamin, IT IS a scarry thing

If this is possible, you might even be able to control individual CELLS. Overnight workout and plastic surgery!
Jen was 13 years old. A fairly normal girl. She spent a lot of time online.
One day, she made a new friend. He liked the same bands, worried about the same subjects.
They decided to meet at the local mall. She went. So did he.
Only he wasn't in junior high.
HE WAS A 1500 LB GRIZZLY BEAR.
1 in 5 children online get eaten by wild bears. And you didn't even know bears could type.

Communication with the subconscious is fully possible. It just depends on your lucid state and whether or not your subconscious will come talk to you. Then again, there are a variety of ways to communicate with it as well. The first step that I would do would be to name your subconscious something unique like "Blue 42" or "Narley99". Tell yourself in your mind "Subconscious, your new name is..." a few times a day and it will inevitably recognize this.

The best way to get direct communication would be through a lucid dream, but that doesn't mean you can not communicate with it when you're awake. When people program things into their consciousness, or if they're meditating, this is a perfect point to where you can atleast send messages to it, ask questions and await for an answer. This is how changes in the physical body or mental state can change. If you want to gain 20 pounds of muscle, sit down and meditate about 10-20 minutes a day asking or telling your subconscious to grow 20 pounds of more muscle on your body. OR if you wanted to increase psychic awareness, this would be something to practice as well. There's countless possibilities with it.
