      remove your head :-)

I dont have very frequent lucid dreams so this is a message to all the lucky lucky people out there who lucid often and have full control...
      In a lucid dream...
Have you ever tried (or are you willing to) removing your head and throwing it?

I dont know why I thought of that, I just recon it would be a really interesting thing to do, after all your not going to die and its not gonna hurt really.

Id like to see whether you could control your head and your body independently.

Another interesting thing to do would be to remove both arms and legs and see if you can still move.

Its kinda sick but it only a dream.

I once spun my head all the way around backwards. Ok it was only like 2/3 of the way to being backwards but thats still farther than a normal person should be able to turn their head without breaking their neck or something. So I think if you slowly pulled your head up you could take it off.

Not sure what will happen when you throw it though. There are 3 likely things to happen I think. Either your view will stay with your body and you will see your head fly. Your view will stay with your head and go flying through the air, which you might grow a new body or something if that happened. Or you might go into 3rd person view and see yourself throwing it, I think that would be the best out of them heh.

Now that would be so cool, to take your head off in a dream! I don't know about throwing it though. I think about the pain issue, is if you relize it's a dream (Duh your lucid) and you know exactly what you are going to do and how it is going to feel (ie no pain)... well then it should be a very interesting experience. Hey I wish i had that much control over my LD's. Anyway i would be totally interested to hear if anyone pulls this off!!!! lol

      That is an awesome idea.
Afterall, Our body is just a carrier for our mind. Who needs your head anyway? Mine is not skrewed on straight anyway.
Maybe when your head lands you could view your body with no head.

Only if you believe the pain exists.

Since the realm of dreaming holds no parameters (except yourself) then pain can be converted to pleasure as could anything be possible if you can convince yourself to believe it.

The one time I was able to stick my finger through my palm in an LD, it did not hurt. It felt a little weird. But I was in a SUPER lucid state. So knew exactly what was going on and was in complete control. So I suppose I knew I could do anything w/o pain.

Wish I'd have thought to remove my own head. I was in front of a mirror at the time. Would have been damn interesting to see that one pan out.

Wouldn't you wake up because you would either get really excited or freak?

I used to get frightened when I went under water in a Lucid dream. I had one where I convinced myself that I will be fine. I did and have not had a problem since. It is like over coming a hurdle. I would think the same would apply to pain or pleasure.

Just do it as if it's an everday occurence. Don't think it might result in pain or your brain may think: "Oh, okay, you asked for it, you can have pain!" and give you pain.
