dreaming of SP, and other crazy things...

OK this morning I had an experience.. I'm going to refer to it as that because I do not know if it was real or a dream. Basically what happened was I woke up, I think I made myself wake up.. (but I'm not ruling out a false awakening).. next thing I knew I was experiencing these crazy strong vibrations, particularly in my arms, that from reading on here I've come to associate with SP.

I really do not know if this was real, or if I dreamt it.. I've read alot about SP etc, so it's definitely embedded in my subconscious and it wouldn't surprise me if it were just a dream. Also isn't it pretty rare to get SP after waking?

The other interesting thing which happened was in a nightmare I was having. It wasn't your usual nightmare, it was basically a type I often have.. where I'm really high up somewhere, not particularly well secured, likely to fall at any moment, and desperately trying to hold on. In the dream, I said "this is like one of my nightmares..." then realised that "actually this is a nightmare!"

At this point I could have turned it into a lucid dream but at the time I was so full of fear I just wanted to wake up, so did that. The more I think about it, the more I entertain the possibility that perhaps this nightmare happened immediately before the 'sleep paralysis' incident..

Anyway just wanted to share it with you, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

What you expirienced was most likely SP. It is not rare at all to wake up and still be in SP. I've had it once or twice myself.

And yes, it's possible that the nightmare could have occured immediatly before that. I think that's what happened when I had it once, as well.

Do you guys every feel SP right when you realize that you're dreaming? Last night I realized I was dreaming, then the SP feeling immediately hit me and woke me up.
