Dream character names

When you socialise with dream characters do you ever ask their name and if so are their names in general normal ones?

I ask dream characters names quite frequently and some have bizarre names. One dream character was called Yemansing, and last night this girl was called Pinarilla.

It's very rare that dream characters who are not representatives of real-life or internet friends or acquaintances have names. But I can remember one name from a nonlucid dream: Victor. He was flirting with me until he started to take more interest in my internet friend, whom I managed to be hanging out with in person even though I'd never met her. (That kind of thing can happen in dreams.) I told this internet friend afterwards about this dream, and how she "stole my man" - or boy, I should say, because Victor was only 16. (Yeah, I like 'em young, especially in dreams. I have an older bf, but that's just because he was there and I figured he'd be a darn good match for my very picky relationship needs.)

I once walked in a building while Lucid and saw the name of the building was Paul Stromberg, owned by Paul Stromberg.... I don't even know who the hell is Paul Stromberg, strange huh?

I remember reading that lucid dream experience. That got me wondering who Paul Stromberg is.

you read that experience I had a while back, right it had you wondering. I can still see that name on the wall of the lobby in that building like if I had the dream last night, they were stainless steel letters mounted on the wall behind the front desk with DC characters workign there, wtf..And I rember walking by the front desk to go in the elevator and reading that as I walked by, like wtf. I guess he's the Donald Trump of lucidity? Give me your response on that lucid dream experience.

It feels like i had that lucid for some reason. For some reason after reading that experience it has gone into my long term memory and it feels like i experienced it myself. So you are you saying He's the donald trump of lucidity was written on the wall?

In Chronological Order:

Last Night
Friday 29th NIGHT to Saturday 30th MORNING

9:48AM-(Reality): My neighbor knocks on my door awaking me from sleep, and asks me to move my car and so she can remove a already cut down tree trunk from her backyard, she also hands me some mail that was accidentally delivered to her.

After I move my car I return to bed and fall asleep immediately. I then have a Lucid dream that I was in the country side (lucid) driving my car through a neighborhood I've never seen or been to and on my left is an approaching lake I continue to drive and see a marine blue colored jeep with 22 inch chrome wheels in front of me.

I’m driving down the road and couldn’t stop my car fast enough. I try to slow my car down and hit a parked car denting it a little. I then drive off trying to run away hoping the DC car owner didn’t notice, but since I’m now lucid it is obvious that as I’m driving away I feel him following me, my car turns into a mountain bike and I’m pedaling the bike, the owner of the parked car I dented starts catching up to me and I ride my bike trying to get home, a young DC boy rides his bike up to me and tells me to run away becuase DC car owner was looking for me.

I ride the bike up a mountain changing gears and while riding it felt a very hard to pedal. So after a few minutes of riding through neighborhoods and terrain I see my building where I live in the Dream, (never saw this building or area in my waking life, but it had the sense of home in the dream) I put the bike down as soon as it gets too hard to pedal then start walking to running seems more of a common sense. I’m running through the courtyard of this massive tall art deco colored building (pastel colors) there are small water scenes that I’m jumping over at this point I noticed everything as if I looking through a orange yellow lens. DC sunlight perhaps?

I then met with my DG (Dream Guide-I knew this was my dream guide because he was the only DC that acknowledged me as a friend and like he knew me from somewhere) upon entering the building I apparently lived in there and was in a lucid state not knowing what floor or apartment to go to, I walked in to the building to the front desk in the lobby which was extremely elegant I remember the feeling, I asked the DC Clerk at the front desk if I got mail and he gave me a set of keys, I walk toward the elevator with my DG and wanted to look at the name of the building which was posted on the wall in an elegant stainless steel lettered sign “Paul Stromberg Building” (I know no one by this name and never heard of this name!!), I’m in the dream wanting to remember everything so I take a lot of mental notes for the dream views site!!Good job Dream views, I remember thinking I want to remember all of this for later when I wake up being that it felt so real.

I then went back for a second time to read the building sign remembering how text always changes after reading it twice and the sign said Ploe Stromberg, I then stared at it and used dream control telekinesis powers to change it back to Paul Stromberg, and I actually read it clearly.

I enter a hall before the elevators with my DG (Dream Guide) he felt almost like a brother to me, like how a best friend makes you feel safe, comforting, nurturing and assuring. I then step into the elevator which is a metal stainless steel elevator and look at the button panel which showed that the building had about 50+ floors, without me pressing a floor the doors closed and the elevator moved up. I know that I didn’t press the buttons for a floor and me and my DG looked at eachother in awe almost reading eachothers body language like we were trying to figure out what floor to press not knowing which floor I lived on I couldn’t press the elevator buttons because there was keyholes next to each button (50-60 buttons with keyholes) I’d have to put a key in and then press the button in order to make the elevator stop on a floor. I took out the keys that the DC receptionist gave me and started looking at them seeing which would fit in the elevator keyhole I try several different floors and none turn the lock and that’s when the keys started breaking in the locks, the keys breaks off and gets stuck in the keyhole locks. I communicated with the DG using telekeneisis and said that I thought I lived on the 17th floor then pressed 17 and he got the elevator to go to the 17th floor and the doors opened and we were on the roof of the building, the floor says 17 there are 50+ floors in the building and were on the roof of the LD building.

I step onto the large roof and see DC’S everywhere going about there business as if they were in the real world, on the rooftop there are several Chinese-monks in gold robes. On the rooftop there are large snakes everywhere on the grass sections of the huge roof and many many DC’S. I was so anxious to talk with any one of them about my dream and what I was suppose to do next, where I was suppose to go and ask about Lucid life's secrets. I’m walking around the roof hiding from this DC car owner guy (remember Im still trying to escape from him) who is following me; my DG is another guy helping me get away.

I then see a beautiful DC woman with dark hair and blue eyes, she walked pass me and before I said anything to her she told me her name was Judy and she was on her way to go do something (I don’t remember what it was she had to go do) I then told her I’m going to have sex with you, I grabbed her and pull her to the side. I took her clothes off, meanwhile my DG is struggling with the Owner DC guy who was initially after me, they’re fighting and I'm over here having sex with Judy. There were large snakes on the ground, black, brown, and yellow snakes, the snakes had dried-up gashes on their back and were coiled up and about 50ft to 100ft long, there also were a lot of large long-toothpicks on the ground used by DC’S to throw at an attacking snake (apparently I figured that out somehow).

My DG friend was helping me by holding on to the Owner DC, as I’m having sex with Judy her vagina turns in a black stretchy string wrapped around my penis and I’m having sex with this string and it feels like a (censored) . On the roof I then start hiding and my DG managed to restrain him (the Owner DC after me) I then run and end up falling off the roof I woke up at 11:03am which shows that time is stretched in lucid dreams, what felt like the course of an entire day in lucidity was only and hour in reality, hence if you are lucid for 15minutes theres a possibility that in reality you are really lucid for about 2 hrs. so do as much possible and let go of your fear of waking up during Lucidity. If you or anyone you know has ever heard of a person named Paul Stromberg or a building called Paul Stromberg please let me know cause apparently I live there…lol…No serious I apparently have to find out who is named Paul Stromberg…Maybe my DG was he……..? tell me what u think?……..

No it didnt say he was the Donald Trump of Lucidity on the wall, Im just saying becuase you know how Donald Trump Owns buildings named after him?....Anyway...All it said on the wall behind DC receptionist table was in stainless steel letter was Paul Stromberg. I find it strange that my Lucid Experience was so vivid and contained high levels of Lucidity that it leaked into your Lucid Dream or that you had Deja Vu' Lucid Dream with my Experience...Any one else got other replys to this....

After i read the first bit it all started to come back to me then. I like lucid dreams like that where you have an adventure, like an epic film. That was really nice of you to help your dream guide when he was getting his ass kicked btw. He's like i need help and your making out with Judy, then again i would have probably done the same thing.

I wonder if this Paul Stromberg thing was just a random name or if it had any meaning?

Did you have a similiar dream to this one? That name is so strange the way it's put together I even Googled it and its some Doctors name? Then the whole thing with giant snakes on the roof and monks in gold robes, Im gonna have to start copyrighting my Lucid Dreams or there in at a theter near you in a couple of years if Stephen King gets a hold of this site, he is known for making movies about dreams he has had...He probably reads this site for ideas, you think?..

No i haven't had a similar dream, what i meant was after reading this i felt like i was there and experienced it.

The part with the keys and the mail probably to do with your waking experience before you had the lucid because i find alot when i wake up and then go back to sleep 10-15 mins later i dream of what i have been doing or thinking about in that time. Yeh wonder if Stephen King comes on here? he could be reading this thread right now!

Or maybe even Paul Stromberg.

Anyway. I always ask for names in my lucid dreams. It makes it easier to see them again, if needed. Elkoon, Koran, Mercutio, Stephon, Matt, and Julie are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Only two come from (but don't look like) friends from real life. It's fun collecting dream names. Once, a distressed dream character (on his way to a funeral, I guess) refused to give me his name. Poor guy, bawling his eyes out in the back of a limo-like vehicle. His aunt told me that his mother died. I think.
