things and those born of inward dreamings, and no cause to value the one above the other. " H. P. Lovecraft
ok...so I'm in a dream. I fly. did I really fly? |

I guess what my REAL question is...can you call the dream world..a whole nother reality...judging by the 'definition' of reality we know..I would say yes...but that's just it, I don't think it's an accurate definition. |

Yep, there was a post on this before, I think I remember seri and blu said that they thought that anything that happens is reality whether in dream or not, and some others agreed some didnt.. fun fun, anyways I think reality is different depending on what you choose to believe, I personally believe that if I remember doing it, I did it, regardless of when. |
|
exactly. if you did something, doesn;t matter where, you still did it. it's controversial with some people however, because it is in your head. ...what is lucid dreaming then? dreaming while knowing you are dreaming. but I believe it is more than that. so I guess...you are right. It has to do with beliefs. |

Reality is that which never ceases to be. |

dreams go away, evantually, so I guess it's not a reality then. |

Paperdoll, Maybe we can think of objective relativeand subjective reality. Objective reality would be that which is fixed i.e. the physical world. A circle is round, a triangle has three corners, gravity, air pressure, water, etc. Subjective reality is the percpetion of reality, or the projection of reality into the mind from which it can be observed. Since we all have different brains-minds-(detectors if you want to call them that), we perceive different realities. Pretty much like opinions. Is it cold out today? The temperature reads exactly 59F degrees. Some detect that as cold and some as warm, depending in your detector-brain-mind. So what is reality, the temperature on the thermometer or your perception of heat/cold? The common perception is that reality is the thermometer reading (objective reality), but as lucid dreams prefer to go by if it feels hot or cold (subjective reality), because in our dreams we don't read the temp we just feel hot, cold, falling, flying, running, and that is our reality. So if you fly in your dreams, I say you did fly in reality. |

His blade defends the helpless.
His might upholds the weak.

His wrath undoes the wicked."

Think of just "real". |

"Do you believe in Karma?"
"Sutra? YOU BET!"
Reality is a non-existant word as everything you experience IS reality, are you not experiencing it right now??Doesnt it seem real, does it really matter you are sleeping?? There is a diffirence between the word "reality" and the word "actually happening" (well thats 2 words) |
