      my eyeballs hurt

when meditating, and trying to focus and concentrate on the light through my eyelids, my eyes hurt like a mother...is there any way to reduce this pain[im not being a pussy or whatever, haha ], because my focus gets pushed to that...?

whatever tomorrow brings, i'll be there, with open arms and open eyes[/b]

yah, sorry hehe i can go on and on i enjoy long posts though i read fast and write even faster no worries, the ppl who should read it will read it and those not ready for it will simply skip over cause they have no attention span sort of a protection enchantment

regular meditation is best for a couple of years before tryin drugs
but my life just didn't work out that way, oh well to each his own path

I guess that's one way of looking at it... personally, I have no use for drugs and tend to take all of this with a rather large grain of salt.

      food/drug

hehe now i'm so hyper sensitive, i can hardly eat some of our NORMAL food cause it's so chauked full o' drugs, we're just all immune

meditation has made me feel these more then anything. bread seems to just sedate me, our food/drugs are very potent now, most of you just don't know cause you are addicted and have tolerence, 4 one, and second, we are all told that there is a difference between food and drug

these ppl r stupid but to each his own, all forms of meditation are vital i am enabled to sit still all day now, however, i can surf dreams and thoughts i swear to god that we are all a big mental internet,

morphogenic field....is that right 2nd attention? whatever it is, i can see it irl now and it freaks me out that everyone wants to try and block it out

i think that those who obtain lucidity have to acknowledge it, they USE it
      hehe

Hey, there's nothing wrong with the action...it's your intentions that make it. That's why I was always "one of them" when it came to marijuana...my brother is just a stoner and he always made it look so bad. But when I did try it, I swear my creative flood gates were opened ever-more-widely. Of course, it all depends on the person...I'm very creative and artistic, but he's just your average materialistic person with grounded thoughts.
I definitely do think people shouldn't abuse drugs though...but that doesn't change the fact that they can expand those who use them with control and pure intentions. :happygolucky:

Anyway, Blulanou, I read all that with excitement! I would like to dabble in it sometime...I may not be ready, but I'm not far off because I already smoke in conjunction with meditation sometimes.
I don't want me to get hurt either...but why not try? I want to experience these plateaus...

In europe, well at least here in Greece, all the people smoke a bong like thing called "SHEE-SHA", or at least that's how its pronounced, and it has no drug content, its purely water vapor with .009% tobacco...which is nothing, because a fag contains .5%

anyways, they put the tobacco in the top of the bong, and put water in the bottom, and you smoke it through a tube, much like you would smoke pot out of a bong...but this stuff is so relaxing...i would like to smoke some, then meditate, except i dont have one at my house...my friend has a couple though

well has anyone has heard of this stuff?

Imagine your brain as a canister filled with ink, yeah, now think of your body as the pen where the ink resides

      problem

I just got into meditating last week, and im have some problems, and some questions:

      1. What is the "best" position to meditate in, or is it generally just personal preference?

      2. When meditating, is it better to focus on "nothing", or let your mind wonder about or day dream? [because i feel like i "got places" by day dreaming, and thinking about the days events, or what happened last week, or what will happen next week in certain situations, etc]

      3. I just got done meditating, and i feel nauseated, is that, to say, normal at the beginning?

...thats pretty much it, if i can think of any more, ill be sure to post

      Another strong possibility...

I guess if there's no difference between food and drugs (!) I'll stick to getting high on carrots and water (I'm trying to sort of stay healthy).

I'm assuming a fag is some kind of measurement?

      DEX

hehe a fag is a cigarette to us american dolts, i only know that from the simpsons

I'm not just about 'getting high' btw, I meditate more, I've been off hcr drugs for a year and a half now...well, cept for lsd, shrooms and, of course, weed, but I think that the way I went is just as important as 'gettin high off carrots' which is equally respectful.

I want to assure everyone that I am not tryin to ecourage drug abuse, but casual exploration is awesome and i think helpful to helping along meditation. DEX is also legal and unaddictive. All the same, it should be used sparingly, to much stress on the liver. And if you do it more then once, it should be at least 2 weeks later. If you do it one day and the next, it will build in your system and you'll trip harder...no hospital visits prz.

To answer Lowercase Society (coo name btw)

The best position is the one that YOU like. I sit half lotus (cross-legged) with my right leg on top of my left. Even the Buddha himself defyed meditation standards of the time on a few occaisions by sitting with one hand touching the ground in half lotus. There are many positions, even walking meditations, and I do a sort of swimming meditation i've developed. I also enjoy sittin in the tub.

The only rules I reccomend is to keep your spine straight. This is just so as not to inhibit energy flow and you have to BREATH, breath deep full long breaths, consistant and steady.

I like to focus on nothing. It is the most nonjudgemental state, even the way of prayer that Jesus and the buddha both talked about. The trick is to judge nothing, but to observe. I do let my mind wander, meditation always gives me visions, but they are by no means important or nessesary, that's important. Do not think about the events of the day unless you are specifically sitting down to meditate on one or two problems. What did happen and what will happen are consequential to the illusion, not to peace or god or eternity. Focusing on the void is the most important thing to learn first. Later you can focus on chakras and healing the body, for now, perfect your stillness of mind.

I have never felt nausia meditating...hmmm, could be the jhonnas, the waves of energy that connect us all...if you're feeling the waves you're on the right track!

oh and keep on doin nothing!!!

I have a hard time reaching void, and it only lasts moments before my over active spirit decides to focus on something else. any tips?
I use the flame method, candle fire, sucks up all the thoughts and images, but it still is pesky

I focus on the mindset I experienced with dissasociative drugs (DXM, K)
and once there I focus on what I felt with potent psychoactives (salvia, lsd lsa shrooms) these are not words though, more like emotions...if i think about words it breaks my meditation, emotions seem to be ok. If I label the emotions, then I break, too, cause labels are words.

I like sounds for focus items. Buddhist singing bowls always keep me calm. Certain music...I can't LOOK at anything. It changes my visions. I prefer darkness really.

But for me, the best BEST place, sounds and sights to meditate are on the mountains surrounding my home. Wind and trees are great music. The air smells good, and nothing to think about cept how the sun feels. Some people freak about coldness, but i got over it. Since I usually start a bit before sunset, sometimes hours later it is the cold that reminds me to go home. good luck man!
